Student answer (Band 6.0)

This is an argument that most of the people would like to capture their looks while travelling to popular sites , even without taking information about that particular area. I believe that social media influencer encourages them for this trend of photography and they found this as a source of revenue. In addition , this is a negative impact on both visitors and well- known location which i will explore in the forthcoming paragraphs.

Commencing with the adverse effect on tourist places due to clicking photos by visitors themselves only , which further disturb the aesthetic of that location and privacy of surrounding people. In simple terms , thousands of commuters visit famous places where few of those are socially active and started clicking pictures without caring about the rules of that specific destination. The Golden Temple , for example, this is holy Sikh temple where photography is prohibited because of some religious reasons and banned to upload pictures inside without the authority permission. Hence , social media stars take advantage of the popular place and ignore the regulations without knowing about its importance and faith of people regarding this place.

Despite this, this trend may attract millions of tourists to any popular site but may be create problem to that organization because they have to raise more funds to maintain their building and facilities . according to recent survey, it is noticed that such persons create noise and pollute that area for their activities which cause the low rating of such places by others. Additionally, while taking pictures, i capture other persons too in their frame without their concern which is not legally allowed due to safety reasons. because they do not know where that individual will post that image or later may misuse their photo for any action.

In inference, it is crystal clear that such trend has a negative impact on others visitors and famous place . this is all happening for people's entertainment and gaining fame which is not significant for that place where many visits for peace and belief .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed both parts of the prompt: explaining the reasons for the trend and providing your opinion on whether it is positive or negative. Your position is clear from the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. While you provide a relevant example regarding the Golden Temple, the explanation of why this is a negative trend is occasionally repetitive and lacks depth. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a distinct, fully developed argument rather than listing multiple points that are not fully explored. The conclusion is a bit brief and could better summarize the main arguments presented.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'Commencing with', and 'Despite this'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'In inference' at the start of the conclusion, which is not standard phrasing. Additionally, some sentences are linked loosely, and the referencing (e.g., 'such persons', 'that organization') is occasionally ambiguous. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your ideas, such as 'aesthetic', 'prohibited', and 'regulations'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'capture their looks' instead of 'take photos of themselves' and 'without their concern' instead of 'without their consent'. Some phrases are also slightly unidiomatic, like 'taking information about that particular area'. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise terminology for the context of tourism and social media.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include missing articles (e.g., 'at popular sites'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'influencer encourages them'), and subject-verb agreement errors. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas and periods. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of these minor errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, especially regarding articles and verb tenses.
