Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is true that these days some indivisible like to take photography on famous place rather than knowing about place. Although this happen due to various reasons, i think it brings destructive for people.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why masses prefer to take photography unknown places. First and the foremost, these days people spend more time on an internet that is why they would easily know about place by surfing on the social media so they easily decide to take photography there by watching view on internet in turn of which it would not only time saving but also money because they have no need to go there before checking the just location. Moreover, most of the people prefer to do those things which we already did by your celebrity because they always follow their footsteps. Therefore, they have no necessary to visit those place where we want to do photography.

Despite looking at place, i opine that it would bring some negative issue in people lives. firstly, when people go for photography on that location where we did not visit once, they can face neither extreme weather nor temperature as a consequence, it would be harmful for health because sometime oxygen would low where it would difficult for them to survive there due to they may lose their life. Furthermore, if people go unaware places, they can face difficult to find accommodation and eating food because they are totally unaware about the location so they would neither concentration their photography but also waste hefty amount of money.

In conclusion, while most of the masses like to take photography on new places where they have no idea about places, i think it brings some disadvantages for people lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for the trend and expressing a clear negative opinion. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. The explanation regarding why people visit places for photography is somewhat confusing, particularly the mention of 'celebrity' influence and the logic regarding internet research. The second body paragraph attempts to explain why the trend is negative, but the arguments—such as extreme weather and oxygen levels—are hyperbolic and lack logical grounding in the context of typical tourist behavior. To improve, focus on more realistic consequences, such as the loss of cultural appreciation or the superficiality of the experience, and ensure your supporting points are clearly linked to your main argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion'. However, the flow is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For example, the use of 'in turn of which' and 'neither... nor' is often grammatically incorrect or misused, which hinders the logical progression of ideas. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly the inconsistent use of pronouns like 'we' and 'they' when referring to tourists. To improve, focus on using cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that each sentence clearly follows from the previous one.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often imprecise. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'indivisible' instead of 'individuals', 'destructive' instead of 'detrimental', and 'unaware places' instead of 'unfamiliar locations'. The phrase 'take photography' is repeated frequently; 'take photographs' or 'engage in photography' would be more natural. While the student attempts to use some academic vocabulary, the lack of control over collocations and word forms limits the clarity of the message. Expanding your range of synonyms and practicing common collocations will help improve your score in this area.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include incorrect subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'this happen'), missing articles (e.g., 'on an internet'), and incorrect preposition usage. The attempt to use complex structures like 'neither... nor' and 'not only... but also' is often unsuccessful due to faulty construction. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some run-on sentences and missing commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring that complex structures are used correctly before attempting more advanced forms.
