Student answer (Band 5.0)
Well nowadays, majority of individuals go different places to take photos of themselves without know the place why this happen . I think it is positive trend .
In this era, people are advance because of the technology. They go different places and click lots of photographs of themselves even background is not good because they know with the help of technology he can change them if background is not good they can select background according to themselves so this is happening why they do not think about places.
Todays technology is increase day by day and with the help of them people do everything they want. I think it is positive effect they do not looking at the place because photos are only memories. people are not show to other so I think they cannot looking the place if they want show the picture then they can easily change the background with the help of technology and so many help tools such as photo editing app. For example, during my birthday I click lots of photo but picture background is not good so I plan to change it so this time photographer told me one application with the help of it I change it and after that I post on instagram.
To conclude, I think is it positive effect because they already visit a place with the help of mobile phone so it is major point why they do not looking the place and click picture all time because of the memrious.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, but the development is limited and somewhat repetitive. While you identify technology as the reason for this trend, the explanation is circular and lacks depth. Furthermore, your argument that this is a 'positive trend' is not fully supported; the reasoning relies heavily on the ability to edit photos rather than addressing the cultural or psychological implications of the behavior described in the prompt. The ideas are presented but remain underdeveloped, and the conclusion does not effectively summarize your position, making the overall response feel thin in terms of critical analysis.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often unclear. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link sentences and ideas effectively. For instance, the transition between the reason for the trend and your opinion is abrupt. Referencing is sometimes confusing, such as in the sentence 'with the help of them people do everything', where the pronoun 'them' does not clearly refer back to a specific noun. While there is an attempt at paragraphing, the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks logical flow, making the argument difficult to follow at times.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts your ability to convey complex ideas. You frequently use basic terms like 'good', 'change', and 'help'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'people are not show to other' and 'memrious' (likely intended to be 'memories'). While you attempt to use some topic-related vocabulary like 'photo editing app' and 'technology', the range is insufficient to express your points with precision. To improve, you should focus on learning synonyms and more sophisticated collocations to avoid repeating the same basic words throughout the text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'majority of individuals go', 'technology is increase'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, such as 'I think is it positive effect because they already visit a place with the help of mobile phone so it is major point'. The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. You need to work on basic sentence construction and ensure that your verb tenses and word forms are accurate to improve clarity.
