Student answer (Band 6.0)
In present days, number of individuals visit renowed places to make memories by taking only the photographs of themselves, even without seeing at the place. I think, this is happend because of social media and I believe it is a negative trend. This essay will explain the causes of this trend in further paragraphs.
To begin with, this is happening because of social medial enviornment. In other words, many people update their daily life events by posting photos, stories and making reels on various platforms such as Instagram, Whatsapp and Facebook. They create contents to increase their followers and as a result many content creators can make an income from social media. For example, many influncers special visit different well-know places for making vlogs by creating videos about history and culture of that particular places. Therefore, above mentioned point justifies that people visit the places to take just photographs and videos even without knowing importance of the place.
From my perspective, this tends to a negative trend because people cannot make memories for a long time. To explain, when individuals visit some famous places, they have to see and understand the importance of the place, history and culture, so they can have a actual memory for life time because they have enjoyed each and every moment by not only taking photos but also they have looked every place. As a result, they can get something new in their minds and it would be helpful.
In conclusion, many people are very keen to increase their followers on social media by posting only their photographs and not giving importance of the actual appearnce of the place. Over period, it will create a negative trend among the people because they do not enjoy and create memory by looking at the place.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The student addresses all parts of the prompt, successfully identifying why people visit well-known places just to take photographs and clearly stating a position that this is a negative trend. In the introduction, the writer outlines the focus of the essay. The body paragraphs attempt to explore causes, such as the social media environment and the desire for followers or income, and present the negative consequences regarding memory retention and appreciation of culture. However, the development of ideas feels somewhat repetitive, particularly in the discussion on memories and social media. While the stance is maintained throughout, the supporting arguments are a bit simplistic and could benefit from greater depth and varied supporting examples to reach a higher band. Overall, the task is adequately addressed in line with Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The response features a clear overall arrangement with functional paragraphing, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The writer employs basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'In other words', 'For example', and 'In conclusion' to signal the structure of the essay. However, some cohesive devices are mechanical or slightly repetitive, and referencing is occasionally faulty, such as in the sentence 'this tends to a negative trend'. Paragraph transitions are logical, but the internal progression within body paragraphs sometimes circles back on the same ideas rather than advancing the argument smoothly. Overall, the coherence meets the criteria for Band 6.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'content creators', 'influencers', and 'culture'. However, there are several noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'renowed' instead of 'renowned', 'happend' instead of 'happened', 'medial' instead of 'media', 'enviornment' instead of 'environment', and 'influncers' instead of 'influencers'. Collocations are also occasionally strained, such as 'special visit' instead of 'specifically visit' and 'actual appearnce' instead of 'actual appearance'. These errors do not impede communication, but they restrict the lexical score to Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing subordinate clauses with 'such as', 'because', and 'when'. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms, articles, and prepositions. Examples include 'In present days' instead of 'Nowadays', 'without seeing at the place' instead of 'without looking at the place', 'this is happend' instead of 'this happens', and 'an actual memory for life time' instead of 'a lifetime memory'. Punctuation is generally acceptable, but structural inaccuracies are persistent. While meaning remains clear despite these flaws, the frequent grammatical slips prevent the essay from achieving a higher band, making Band 5.5 an appropriate score.
