Student answer (Band 5.0)
In recent years, a lot of people visit well-known places to take pictures of themselves without looking at the place has become an important topic of discussion in modern society. People have different opinions about this matter, and these views are often influenced by their experiences and circumstances. In my view, I think that is happening because the social media and it is a negative trend. This essay will examine the main reasons related to this subject.
To begin with, Internet becomes, really, essential in our life. There are several reasons why this can be important. First of all, people can spend picture or experience to their family and friends. This means that everyone can know a part-time of life each either. A good example of this can be seen when a person makes a live or a photograph in a well-known place like the Eiffel Tower in Paris. As a result, these persons spend a lot of time with their phone without appreciate this time and this place. This can influence people's daily lives and may also have wider effects on society. In addition, it can create changes that are not always immediately visible. For these reasons, this part of the life style deserves particular attention.
Furthermore, it is a negative trend. This can be explained by the fact that everyone can see your private area and use your personal picturs. In other words, there is no intimate. For instance, take pictures of couple kissing. Consequently, people may not look this places but the kissing. At the same time, the effects may be different from one person or situation to another. It is therefore necessary to look at the subject from more than one perspective. Taking these points into account can help people make better decisions and understand the life more clearly.
In conclusion, people visit well-known places to take pictures of themselves without looking at the place is a negative trend. The discussion above shows that people can live with appreciate the time and the places visited. Although there may be different opinions, the available arguments suggest that it is essential to make it sure. For this reason, this matter should be approached carefully, with attention to its possible effects on both individuals and society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying social media as the main reason and clearly stating that it is a negative trend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on why people take photos focuses heavily on sharing with family and friends, but the explanation remains superficial, relying on vague phrases like 'this part of the life style deserves particular attention.' While the position is clear throughout, the supporting arguments lack depth and rely on over-generalised statements rather than fully extended examples. As a result, the response meets the criteria for Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into clear paragraphs, and there is a basic overarching structure with introductory and concluding remarks. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions, repetitive statements, and mechanical cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'Furthermore,' and 'In conclusion.' Referencing is also problematic at times, with pronouns like 'this' or 'it' lacking clear antecedents (e.g., 'I think that is happening because the social media'). Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal organization of ideas within paragraphs feels disjointed and circular. This places the response firmly in the Band 5.0 category for Coherence and Cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, frequently reusing words like 'people,' 'place,' 'time,' and 'negative trend.' There are several awkward collocations and word-choice errors that hinder precision, such as 'spend picture or experience to their family,' 'part-time of life,' and 'without appreciate this time.' While the student attempts some less common phrasing, inaccuracies in word formation and choice are noticeable throughout the text (e.g., 'picturs,' 'intimate' used as a noun). Although communication is generally maintained, the limited range and frequent lexical inaccuracies reflect a Band 5.0 level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences alongside poorly controlled complex attempts. Frequent grammatical errors occur, including missing prepositions, incorrect verb forms, and tense inconsistencies, such as 'Internet becomes, really, essential' and 'people may not look this places.' Additionally, sentence boundaries are occasionally blurred, and punctuation errors are present. These frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader and demonstrate that the student does not yet possess reliable control over complex structures, aligning with Band 5.0.
