IELTS Writing Task 2 question
More and more people nowadays visit well-known places to take photographs of themselves, without looking at the place.
Why do you think this is happening?
Is it a positive or a negative trend?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the technology era, the social media is becoming a daily part of life to communicate and share you feelings .people love to post their pictures from the most famous locations for instance Taj mahal without admiring the beauty of these places . I think it happen because people prefer to get some reaction from others on social media rather than living that moment .In the forth coming paragraphs I am going to discuss both positive and negative trends .
Taking photographs is very important when ever you any good location to make the memorise with loved ones (family or friends)while admiring the scenic views of the location .When ever they saw that pic they felt nostalgic .Moreover some people have profession by clicking pictures and making vlogs to earn money through views and shares .
On the other hand , some influencers over hyped the location through their social media platforms which makes the location over crowded in which most of them are just come to click photographs of themselves to try to get views as them. Which disturbs others people those are come here to enjoy the place . For example one family goes to hill stations to watch water falls but there are some group of friends disturbing other while clicking their photographs in different poses .And they ruin their mood .
In the light of the evidence its crystal clear that clicking photographs is good to make memorize with your loved ones while enjoy the place but make sure that you are not disturbing others with yours actions.
