Student answer (Band 5.0)

Majority nowadays just being the shade of fellows. Therefore people follows others path without creating indivdual ones. In modern era, civilons follow same trend for photography as well which i belive both pros and cons. In my perspective this trend has more negative points. i will elaborate it in upcoming paragraphs.

On the one side people assert that going to well known places for photographs is saving time and energy which is true either for example going to zoo for photographs or doing jungle safari is not creating any diffrence as the aim is just pictures of animals. Further more wedding photographers believe in same locations beacuse they can find all shots in one location and their set's are more perfect for camera angles and so on rather then putting efferts lightning and spending on budget for same shot.

On the other side individuals who finds that doing research by own for any places eventhough it is not famous has more fruitful results as compare to taking the pictures on crowdy section. I also keen to this ideology. Several times people if do not check new places can lost their creativity of photography beacuse it is not just skills also the feeling of artists. so it can develop only if they distinct themselves from rat race. for instance, Photographers who clicking the pictures of the streets of the city Rajasthan are alluring more inentions than those who just click some shots of forts.

To conclude, Although visiting famous places for photographs has some merits but their demerits are overshadow them.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, exploring reasons why people visit well-known places for photographs without looking at them (such as saving time and budget) and discussing whether this is a positive or negative trend. A clear position is established early on, stating that the author views this as predominantly negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and occasionally unclear due to expression issues. For instance, the comparison regarding jungle safaris and zoo photographs is somewhat muddled. While all parts of the prompt are addressed, the arguments would benefit from deeper extension and more precise examples. Therefore, this performance aligns best with the criteria for a band 5.5, rounded to a 5.5.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an attempt at paragraphing. However, logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and confusing sentence connections. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as starting sentences with 'Majority nowadays just being the shade of fellows' and 'On the one side/On the other side' rather than standard phrasing like 'On the one hand'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between ideas is jerky rather than smooth. There is a repetitive structural pattern throughout the text. These features place the response firmly in the band 5.0 range for coherence and cohesion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The lexical resource is limited and basic, with noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that frequently cause difficulty for the reader. Examples of errors include 'civilons' for civilians, 'indivdual' for individual, 'beacuse' for because, 'efferts' for efforts, 'crowdy' for crowded, and 'inentions' for intentions. While the student attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'rat race' and 'creativity', the high frequency of inaccurate word forms and spelling mistakes impedes communication in several places. The range is minimally adequate for the task, best reflecting the descriptors for a band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

Grammatical control is weak throughout the response, featuring a very limited range of structures and frequent errors. Simple sentences often contain structural flaws, and attempts at complex sentences are consistently faulty, such as in 'Several times people if do not check new places can lost their creativity...'. Punctuation is largely neglected, with missing commas, run-on structures, and lower-case letters used at the beginning of sentences (e.g., 'i will elaborate'). Errors are frequent, causing considerable strain and confusion for the reader in almost every sentence. This performance fits the band 4.5 descriptor, rounded to a 4.5.
