More and more people nowadays visit well-known places to take photographs of themselves, without looking at the place.

Why do you think this is happening?

Student answer (Band 6.5)

In this contemporary epoch, the majority of people travelling famous places only to click pictures rather than learning about the site. The reasons behind this approach mainly are social media trends and creat memmories at a specific place. In my opinion his is a negative trend because visitors miss to appriciate the beauty and miss the learning opportunity about such places like historical palaces and forts.

To start with, social media pressure is one of the biggest reason. Nowadays people post every action of their lives' on social media to draw attention from their friends and followers. When they visit a new place , they see it as a golden opportunity to create content for their social media platforms. Furthermore, visitors mostly visit new places with their family and loved ones. They want to create memmories with whome they are traveling, therefore pictures are the best way to captures beatuiful moments of life with fmaily and friends. For example, people feel proud to show others by pictures as they are visiting different county.

The primary effect of this approch is missing the chance to admire the real beauty of the monument. Some places and know for its beauty such as lanscapes of Canada but people waste time in cliclking selfies instead of enjoying the beautifulness. Secondly, individuals can miss the opportunties to learn about history and cultural values. Students can learn in practical way if they read all the information provided on site about the place rather than clicking photographs. For instance,some places offer limited time to visitors and people waste that time in photography instead of learning about the place.

In summary, mostly people interested to creat memmories with family members by clicking pictures and get attention on social media from their followers. In my opioion this negative trend as people miss real beauty of the monuments and forget to learn about the history of the place.
