Student answer (Band 6.0)
Recently, it has been observed that many individuals are get attracted to famous places to be clicked into the frame irrespective of the location. There could be many reasons behind it. In my perspective, it has both benefits and drawbacks. This essay will discuss both points in the ensuing paragraphs.
Analysing the causes, many people like to follow the trends. New generation are more inclined towards taking selfies and posting their personal stories online have become very common nowadays. These people will not leave any edge to become popular overnight. For instance, if someone is makes reel on the beach, there are high chances that individuals will likely to go there make their own reel without seeing the weather or looking at the surroundings. In addition, they believe these can make them very famous person on social media. This can be true, however; it does not provide life-long career.
Evaluating the trend, it could be proven both to some extent. Looking at the bright side of the trend, it can give name, fame, and money immidiately. In recent times, people are like to make blogs/vlogs of their choices and posts on platforms such as instagram and Youtubes. These can provide them good opportunity to earn money depending on their followers and views. However, on the other side, some people have to face dark side of it too. For example, sometimes they can be trapped in such a way that they have to sacrifice their entire life.
All in all, it can be concluded that people have to be extra caustious of their actions. person may forget the indivuduality in order to follow the society. There are always positives and negatives of each and every situation so, people need to take of themselves.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by exploring both the reasons behind the trend and discussing whether it is a positive or negative development. The writer presents a clear position throughout the essay, stating that the trend brings both benefits and drawbacks. Ideas are generally relevant, such as the influence of social media trends and the desire for quick fame, and these are supported with examples like making reels on the beach. However, some ideas remain slightly under-developed; for instance, the explanation of the negative consequences is brief and lacks specific depth. Overall, the task is adequately fulfilled, aligning with a Band 6.0 performance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs addressing causes and evaluations, and a concluding summary. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different stages of the argument. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. For example, transitional phrases like 'Analysing the causes' and 'Evaluating the trend' are somewhat repetitive and forced. Referencing and logical progression are occasionally disjointed, such as in the final paragraph where the transition from caution to individuality feels abrupt. These features place the response firmly at a Band 6.0 level for cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The writer uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'irrespective of the location', 'inclined towards', and 'immidiately'. However, there are notable spelling errors ('immidiately', 'caustious', 'indivuduality', 'Youtubes') and word choice inaccuracies, such as 'many people like to follow the trends' and 'people are like to make blogs'. While these lexical errors and typos are noticeable, they do not impede overall communication, reflecting the characteristics of Band 6.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional structures and participial clauses ('Analysing the causes, many people like...'). However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('New generation are more inclined'), incorrect verb forms ('are get attracted', 'is makes reel'), and missing articles. Punctuation errors are also present, such as comma splices and spacing issues around commas ('name, fame, and money'). Although these errors occasionally cause minor friction for the reader, communication is maintained, matching the descriptors for Band 5.5.
