Student answer (Band 6.0)
The trend of making reels, immitating family or friends is most viral these days on social media platforms. It is often seen that people like them to be the center of attraction, than the places that deserve to be.
These demonstrate negative impact on the nature and its habitat.
There are compelling reasons why people prefer show casing themselves on social media platforms like facebook or instagram. Technological advances have provided them tools like phone or high end digital cameras which enable them to take pictures with good resolution that are crisp and clear. Due to this, people are habituated of taking pictures of any thing and posting them online to get likes from family members, with no exception to archeological sites, beaches, monuments, or historical places. They do not care how their actions impact on such sites. For example, Somebody posted their group photos on instagram making fun having alchol while on their way to climbing mountain to reach a temple. These people did not care about the impact it would make on reglious sentiments of others.
Secondly, some people want to store memories of the places they visited in the past, which they can share with their loved ones. While it is necessary to preserve memories, they miss to care about the mother nature and its habitats. They are careless with their actions and its consequences on the nature. For instance, in order to take a picture a woman tried to jump on a statue to feed a bird. Her actions clearly demonstrates that she need to care about the bird nor the religious sentiment associated with the statue.
No doubt, technology has evovled enabling us with easy access to various things however, that does not enable humanbeing to harm the nature which is accessible to all habitats. Hence, I second the thought that taking pictures of famous places without caring about it has detrimental impacts.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The student addresses both parts of the prompt, exploring the reasons behind the trend of taking photos at well-known places without appreciating them, and offering a clear stance on its negative impacts. Ideas are relevant, supported by examples such as people taking group photos while drinking or jumping on a statue to feed a bird. However, the development of these ideas occasionally feels somewhat superficial or repetitive regarding lack of care for nature and religious sentiments. There is a tendency to conflate general tourist behavior with the specific prompt focus on photography, yet the overall response successfully covers the core requirements of the task, earning a solid band score in line with Band 6.5 criteria.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion, and body paragraphs that follow a logical progression signaled by transitional markers like 'Secondly' and 'No doubt'. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to structure the response. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or faulty, such as the sudden jump in the first paragraph to 'These demonstrate negative impact...' without a clear pronoun referent. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and some sentences lack smooth transitions, detracting from the flow of ideas. These features align closely with the Band 6 descriptors for Coherence and Cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'archeological sites', 'detrimental impacts', and 'reglious sentiments'. However, there are notable spelling errors ('immitating', 'show casing', 'alchol', 'reglious', 'evovled', 'humanbeing') and word choice inaccuracies ('miss to care', 'Her actions clearly demonstrates that she need to care'). These errors occasionally impede communication or require the reader to re-read phrases to grasp the intended meaning. Consequently, the lexical performance sits comfortably at a Band 5.5, reflecting adequate expression hindered by frequent inaccuracies.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The text contains a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt at varied structures such as 'While it is necessary to preserve memories, they miss to care about the mother nature...'. However, there is a persistence of grammatical errors throughout the response, including subject-verb agreement issues ('she need to care'), missing articles ('climbing mountain'), and preposition errors ('impact on'). While these errors do not completely obscure the message, they occur frequently enough to prevent the writing from achieving a higher band, placing the grammar performance securely at Band 5.5.
