IELTS Writing Task 2 question
More and more people nowadays visit well-known places to take photographs of themselves, without looking at the place.
Why do you think this is happening?
Is it a positive or a negative trend?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this 20th century, most of people visit famous places to take photographs of themselves and they don't look and explore that place. In my prospective it is both positive and negative trend.
On the Positive side, nowadays, people hardly get time to visit well known places due to hectic schedule. Taking photographs is helpful them to store their memories because if people can't visit overthere again, they can look after that picture to remind every small momemt. Not only this, they also can show their pictures to near and dear ones which is not good only for people to get know about new places but also good for well known places in order to get producitivy.
On the negative side, most of places is good for enoy as compared to capture in photographs. Since they take photographs, they pay full attention in photos that how clear is it and how view seen in it. They forget to explore natural things and creatures in reality, like when they see to that well known space rather than electroic device to get picture, they cna enhance their knownledge because when they see different things, they would like to get information and places can helpful them to reduce stress.
In conclusion, taking photographs of well-known places has both positive and negative effects on people. I think people should spend equal time on both activities to capture memories in both their minds and photographs.
