Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing why people visit places solely for photographs and offering a clear opinion on whether this trend is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. For instance, the second body paragraph briefly mentions that people enjoy exploring and storing memories, but these points are not sufficiently extended with specific examples or deep explanation. The position is stated but lacks the full extension and robust support required for a higher level, meaning the response addresses the task only partially with some generalisations.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay presents some overall organisation with clear paragraph breaks that separate the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. There is a discernible progression of ideas as the writer moves from causes to personal opinion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or imprecise, such as the transitional phrases "In other words" and "Moreover, They enjoy," which feature incorrect capitalization and slightly awkward referencing. The logical flow between sentences occasionally feels disjointed, reflecting a coherent overall arrangement that still exhibits some faulty or mechanical cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic message of the prompt. There are noticeable lexical errors and awkward word choices that draw attention, such as "best click" instead of the best photo, "etheral" containing a spelling error, and the phrase "secure money." While the writer attempts to use less common terms like "publicity purpose," inaccuracies in word choice and spelling persist throughout the text, which may cause occasional difficulty for the reader and reflect a restricted lexical range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writing displays a limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentence forms and predictable patterns. Attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, demonstrated by errors in article usage, punctuation, and subject-verb agreement, such as "social media has now became" and "Therfore, It is important." Frequent grammatical and punctuation errors occur throughout the essay, including comma splices and incorrect capitalization after punctuation marks, which can cause some difficulty for the reader and restrict the control over grammar.
