Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
The response addresses the prompt only partially, and importantly, it fails the minimum length requirement significantly, containing only 139 words against the required 250 words. While you attempt to answer both parts of the task by mentioning reasons such as social media and content creation, your ideas remain limited and under-developed. For instance, stating that people like to travel different places in vacations but are more interested in taking photos is stated rather than extended or supported with clear reasoning. To reach a higher level, you must write a much longer response that fully explores why this phenomenon occurs and thoroughly discusses whether it is positive or negative with well-supported arguments and relevant examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some organisation in your writing, as you attempt an introduction and a body paragraph, but there is no clear overall progression across the text. Cohesive devices are basic and sometimes inaccurate, such as using 'Moreover', 'Also', and 'For instance' in a mechanical way. Paragraphing is also an issue, as the response is too brief to show a fully developed structure, and referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the ambiguous pronoun use in 'in this way they can get fame'. To improve, you should ensure that your ideas are logically sequenced with a clear introduction, well-developed body paragraphs, and a proper conclusion, using a wider and more natural range of cohesive links.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary range is limited but minimally adequate to convey basic ideas, with noticeable errors that reflect a restricted command of word choice and spelling. There are several spelling mistakes, such as 'well-know' instead of 'well-known', 'vacaitions', 'intrested', 'insted', 'expereince', 'uplod', 'adn', 'contant', 'incress', and 'there' instead of 'their'. Additionally, word choices like 'visit well-know tourist attraction' lack appropriate pluralisation and collocation. To improve, you should expand your vocabulary range and focus heavily on accurate spelling, word forms, and collocations so that your ideas are expressed with greater precision and fewer distracting errors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response displays a limited range of grammatical structures, and your attempts at complex sentences are often faulty. There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader, including missing articles ('is famous cricket player of Indian team'), incorrect prepositions ('intrested to taking photos'), and subject-verb agreement or tense issues ('daily he post picture where he go'). Simple sentence forms dominate, and even within these, basic grammatical accuracy is compromised. To move up to the next band, you need to demonstrate better control over basic sentence patterns, use articles and prepositions accurately, and develop a greater variety of error-free complex structures.
