Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, many individuals visit highly reconisable desitinations to have selfie, without knowing the place and its history they just only want to click the picture on that destination. Which i belive is negative trend because it is also improtant to know the culture or history of that particular place. I will further elborate my stance futher in the eassy with relevant example thus that will leads to the conclusion.
To analyze futher more in this regards i think social media is the main problem because people post their selfie or picture on different platforms like facebook, tiktok or intsagram etc. without looking around them.people often feel that sharing attractive photographs can increase their online popularity and help them create an impressive image of their lifestyle. For example a person is going to visit the Eiffel tower instead of knowing its history he or she will spend more time to just fixing the prefect angle of camera to get picture.
I also admit that socail media influencers sparked this fashion to gain more popularity amoung in their auidence which also have also positive impact on the tourism sector, there followers will also try to visit that place which eventually benefit the tourism releated businesses. Infact i thick it create a ecosystem airline, tour campanys, car rentels, hotels or cafe etc they all going earn for that boom actually making people adopt this model to generate a healthy amount of money every month.
In conclusion i think the history or culture is important to discover but we also cannot ingore the power of social media.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing why people take photos at famous sites without engaging with them and considers whether this trend is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. For instance, the discussion on social media and the Eiffel Tower example briefly touch upon online popularity, but they lack deeper elaboration. Similarly, the point regarding economic benefits to tourism-related businesses is introduced rather abruptly without sufficient explanation of how it impacts the broader trend. The writer maintains a discernible stance that the trend is largely negative due to a lack of cultural appreciation, though the conclusion introduces a somewhat contradictory thought about acknowledging social media's power, reflecting a slightly unfocused overall position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some basic organisation present, with attempts to divide the writing into paragraphs and signal transitions using phrases like 'To analyze futher more in this regards' and 'In conclusion'. However, there is no clear overall progression, and the logical flow is frequently disrupted by mechanical and repetitive cohesive devices. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the ambiguous pronoun use in sentences like 'Which i belive is negative trend'. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal paragraph cohesion lacks smooth transitions, making the progression of ideas feel disjointed rather than naturally guided throughout the essay.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey basic ideas regarding tourism and social media. There are numerous noticeable errors in spelling, word choice, and word formation, such as 'reconisable', 'desitinations', 'elborate', 'futher', 'socail', 'amoung', 'releated', and 'campanys'. These lexical inaccuracies and persistent spelling mistakes create some difficulty for the reader and prevent the vocabulary from reaching a higher level of precision or flexibility. The writer attempts some less common terms like 'ecosystem', but imprecise usage and errors restrict the lexical scope significantly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer demonstrates a limited range of sentence structures, primarily relying on simple sentences and basic compound-complex attempts. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with run-on sentences, missing punctuation, article omission, and verb agreement. For example, expressions like 'have selfie', 'to just fixing', and 'they all going earn for that boom' display faulty grammar within complex patterns. These frequent errors cause strain and difficulty for the reader in places, though the general meaning of the arguments usually remains retrievable despite the structural shortcomings.
