Student answer (Band 4.5)

So there is so many people visiting the places which they dont know very well its happening because sombody on internet posted a video of that place with a pros he did not mentioned the cones so people watch the reels and they findout its a very good place than after reaching there they find out there is so many other problems around that place its happening just because of wrong info which content creator provide on instagram or facebook somebody paid them they will make a video on anything without even knowing that it will be problematic for so many people. so my advice to everybody do not believe whatever you saw online because 80% is a paid content also my request with the content creator please be honest make your money worthfull dont lie and play with your audience emotions.

A similar incident happened with my sister she saw a reel on instagram of a newly launched cafe in our city that creator was donig so much appreciation the food he was eating. so we decided to go to that place and ordered the food first of all the staff was very pathetic and rude like they dont even know how to deal with the customer. she ordered 3 meals there two items came first and remaining one took 40 mins which is unusual after eating it was below average she realize that wastes her money just beacuse someone who get paid by a cafe owner make reel that food was so delicous.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response addresses the main prompt regarding why people visit famous places just for photographs and whether this is a positive or negative trend, presenting the view that it is a negative trend driven by misleading social media content. However, the ideas are limited and under-developed, relying heavily on broad generalisations such as stating that eighty percent of online content is paid. The personal example about the sister visiting a newly launched cafe attempts to support the argument, but the explanation remains superficial and lacks clear expansion. Consequently, the task is addressed only partially, as the discussion would benefit from deeper analysis and more fully explored reasoning to meet higher evaluation standards.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is some organisation within the response, with an introduction of the problem followed by a personal example. However, there is no clear overall progression, and the text suffers from a lack of proper paragraphing, being presented as two large blocks of text. Cohesive devices are basic, inaccurate, or overused, with frequent reliance on run-on sentences and repetitive connectors like 'so' and 'it is happening because'. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, making it sometimes difficult for the reader to follow the exact logical thread of the argument. Better division into distinct paragraphs and a wider range of accurate cohesive ties would greatly improve the overall flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task, featuring basic items and repetitive phrasing such as 'very good place', 'wrong info', and 'bad staff'. There are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling, such as 'cones' instead of 'cons', 'findout', 'worthfull', 'delicous', and 'donig'. These errors and the restricted range sometimes cause difficulty for the reader or require them to guess the intended meaning. To progress, the writer needs to incorporate a broader range of less common lexical items and pay closer attention to accurate spelling and word formation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response displays a very limited range of sentence structures, consisting mostly of long, unpunctuated run-on clauses joined by commas or coordinating conjunctions. Attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, leading to missing punctuation and incorrect clause boundaries, as seen in sentences like 'she saw a reel on instagram of a newly launched cafe in our city that creator was donig so much appreciation the food he was eating.' There are frequent grammatical errors in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and articles throughout the text, which can cause difficulty for the reader. Greater control over basic sentence boundaries and accurate use of punctuation are essential areas for development.
