Student answer (Band 6.0)

Visiting popular places to capture the moments becomes a trend nowdays. Numerous people love to film themselves without even gathering the required information about it. The root cause is that they want to step out to enjoy from their busy schedules and it helps them to relax. It has a positive impact on their relationships because they can spend good time together. In my perspective, this shift is a positive trend.

The primary cause of this is that the many indivuals are quite engaged in their workforce and they hardly get any time to go out. Whenever, they have leisure time, they want to visit somewhere. It leads to searching the well known places online and visiting it. They click several photographs there with their loved ones to keep it safe for lifetime. Those are not only pictures for them but are lifelong memories that they can cherish years later. Moreover, seeing well-known places become a high society symbol these days. Elaborating more, people upload their images at the famous locations to impress others about their status and living a luxury life. For instance, there are influencers who have many followers. They add such kind of pictures to their social media accounts to obtain attention from audience. Consequently, people following them get attracted towards it and try to implement same things in their life.

I believe it affects the society and individuals in multiple positive ways. The foremost advantage is that when families go together to see these places, they enjoy with each other which strenghthens their bonds. Additionaly, people gain valuable experience when they go to these locations because everything cannot be displayed online on the websites. In other words, nobody can feel the ambience of a place just simply looking at the photographs. This phenomenon also enhances the tourism because more and more individuals visit the popular places which has remarkable contribution in a nation's economy. To exemplify, millions of human beings visit a historic monument Taj Mahal every year from certain parts of the world which facilitate the nearby vendors to sell products including food, shelter, clothing, and many more.

In conclusion, individuals go to see the famous locations to click their photographs without knowing about it is mainly because they want to explore a new place and want to relax themselves from hectic schedules. It benefits them in making their bonds stronger as well as it encourages tourism.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing the causes behind the trend of taking photographs at well-known places without fully experiencing them, and clearly states a personal position that this is a positive development. Ideas are generally relevant, but some are more fully developed than others. For example, while the economic benefits of tourism and the motivation to escape busy work schedules are well-supported with examples like the Taj Mahal, the idea that visiting famous places has become a high society symbol is slightly under-developed and could have been extended further to fully meet higher bands. Nevertheless, the position is clear throughout the response, and all prompt questions receive adequate attention.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear logical progression from introduction to body paragraphs and a concluding summary. Information and ideas are generally organized logically, and paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct points such as the causes and the impacts. However, cohesion at times feels a bit mechanical or repetitive, utilizing standard transitional phrases like 'Moreover,' 'Consequently,' and 'In conclusion' rather than more seamless referencing. Pronoun referencing is generally clear, but occasional clunky transitions prevent the response from achieving a fully natural flow throughout.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common lexical items such as 'ambience,' 'hectic schedules,' and 'phenomenon.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocations, such as 'high society symbol' instead of 'status symbol' or 'symbol of status,' and minor awkward phrasings like 'capture the moments becomes a trend nowdays' (which also contains a spelling error). Despite these limitations, the vocabulary used is sufficient to communicate the message clearly, and errors in spelling and word choice do not impede the reader's understanding.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

The writer demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating relative clauses and conditional structures reasonably well. There are some errors in grammar and punctuation, such as missing articles ('visiting the well known places'), slight subject-verb agreement issues ('the many indivuals are'), and incorrect prepositions or prepositional patterns ('just simply looking at'). However, these errors are relatively infrequent and rarely impede communication. Punctuation is generally controlled, and the majority of sentences maintain clear structural integrity, fitting well within the expectations for this level.
