Student answer (Band 6.5)
Clickling selfies, shooting videos and filming reels at a famous destination is higly prioritized by travellers against exploring that place physically. This is a burgeoning trend that has taken place recently. I have explained some core reasons behind this trend and also given my views considering this trend as a negative development.
Taking into account the catalysts of this development, the first and foremost the advent of technological advancements that have took place, social media platforms like facebook and instagram in particular, engendering a sense of mutual competition in posting pictures on social media platforms . To examplify this further, twenty years ago, unlike today, people were least interested in showing off their travel memories to someone and would click pictures in vacation just for the sake of memories. Conversely, owing to options like reels, posts, stories and livestreaming, visitors tend to be more inclined to highlight everything about their vacation to their facebook friends and instagram followers. Not only individuals get a feeling of social significance by doing so, but also a sense of marginal fame being stalked and noticed by others.
Reorienting the focus to the nature of this trend, in my opinion, it is a highly negative trend. Being completely indulged in clicking photographs at a highly prisitne and a historical place for example, prevents a visitor to understand the history, learn the facts or blend into the culture of the place. A majority of time goes unproductive uploading stories and snaps leaving not time to acquire a worth experience. Pervasive and profound, are the impacts of this trend as the impact an infamous destination has the potential to deliver cannot be served upto the mark exacerbating the aura of the place.
To sum up, platforms of social media such as Snapchat and Instagram have made it almost impossible for people to explore a well know place to its fullest. Besides, a plethora of ramifications are associated with it proliferating the unproductivenss of a tour.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both the reasons for the trend and presenting a clear position that it is a negative development. The ideas presented are generally relevant, fulfilling the baseline requirements for the mid-band level. However, some ideas show a tendency to be slightly under-developed or less fully explained. For instance, the discussion on the negative impacts touches on historical understanding, but the elaboration on how an infamous destination fails to deliver is somewhat vague and difficult to follow. To reach higher tiers, all main points require deeper extension, more specific real-world examples, and a fully realised line of argument throughout every body paragraph.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The essay presents a clear logical organisation and overall progression throughout, demonstrating a coherent arrangement of ideas. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, separating the introduction, the causes, the negative evaluation, and the conclusion distinctly. A variety of cohesive devices are utilised, such as 'Taking into account the catalysts', 'Conversely', and 'To sum up'. While referencing and transitions generally work well, minor clunkiness in logical flow keeps the response anchored at this level. To advance further, cohesion must become more fluid and natural, avoiding any mechanical transitions and ensuring seamless progression between complex ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.5
The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'burgeoning', 'catalysts', 'engendering', and 'proliferating'. However, there are notable inaccuracies in word choice, spelling, and collocation that prevent the writing from achieving a higher mark. For example, 'Clickling' contains a spelling error, 'higly' is misspelled, 'have took place' involves a word form issue, and 'prisitne' contains a typo. Furthermore, expressions like 'worth experience' should be 'worthy experience'. To improve, the writer needs to exercise greater precision in word selection and ensure careful proofreading to eliminate basic lexical slips.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The response exhibits a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt to use varied syntactic structures. There are several grammatical errors present, particularly with verb forms and prepositional patterns, such as 'the advent of technological advancements that have took place' and 'click pictures in vacation' instead of 'on vacation'. Additionally, relative clauses and punctuation show minor lapses, as seen in 'Leaving not time to acquire'. Despite these errors, meaning is rarely impeded and communication remains clear. To achieve a higher band, the writer must produce a greater frequency of error-free complex sentences and demonstrate tighter control over verb tenses and article usage.
