Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is irrefutable that in these days, majority of individuals prefer to explore different well-known areas to capture moments without looking at them. While there are various reasons associated with this phenomenon. In my opinion, this is negative development beacuse of unfamiliar surroundings and wastage of time and money which i will discuss in forthcoming paragraphs.

There are numerous reasons why this is happened. The first and foremost one is that people get influence from social media.Although they come to know about different culture, customes and tranditions.Nevertheless, the get curiosity by watching different content on digital platforms about it.For instance , Shimla is popular place for noth indians to visit during summer vacations for posting experiences with selfies on instagram and sharing experiences. Moreover, masses want to rejuvenate their mind from hectic schedule as they can unwind from stressful environment to feel relax in calm and enjoy life moments at that places such as weekend trips are generally held by families to capture and lively enjoy the beauty of new places. As a result, people will have sense of satisfaction in their life .

Nonetheless,It has an adverse impact on individuals life. The major reason for this is that visiting different place to keep memories can never provide a unique sensory experience to excursionists since they just enjoy beauty of polpular areas to collect moments instead of having real world experiences over there. To illustrates, many vloggers just click pictures with their high quality cameras and post on their offical accounts in order to increase their fan following. Moreover,it seems to be time and money wastage.when tourists have the exploration of diverse cultural just for the sake of getting photos rather than enjoyment, they just waste their savings and time.Hence, it will affect their desire to experience new things in their life.

In conclusion, various factors have contributed to above situation such as social media influence and mind relaxation,I believe that this has catastrophic consequences on people lives beacuse of artificial experiences and unnecessary expenditure on trips.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the reasons for the trend and presenting a clear position that it is a negative development. The causes behind the phenomenon, such as social media influence and the desire to unwind from a hectic schedule, are identified and explored. However, some ideas are under-developed or lack full elaboration. For instance, the point about social media introduces several thoughts in quick succession without fully exploring how digital platforms specifically drive people to ignore physical surroundings. Similarly, the negative impacts regarding wasted savings and artificial experiences are introduced, but they could be extended with more detailed examples. The position remains clear throughout the essay, fulfilling the requirements for a solid performance at this level, though deeper exploration of each main point would be needed to reach a higher level.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to logically sequence ideas. Paragraphing is utilised adequately to separate the introduction, the causes, the negative impacts, and the conclusion. There is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction of the topic to the specific reasons and subsequent impacts. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or faulty. The use of cohesive devices such as 'The first and foremost one', 'Nonetheless', and 'To illustrates' can feel formulaic or structurally awkward. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as pronoun usage like 'the get curiosity' or abrupt transitions between sentences within paragraphs. To progress further, the writer needs to ensure smoother, more natural transitions between sentences and paragraphs without relying heavily on rigid formulaic connectors.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common lexical items such as 'rejuvenate', 'excursionists', and 'catastrophic consequences'. However, there are notable inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and word form that reflect limitations at this level. Examples include 'beacuse' (spelling), 'nothen indians', 'offical', 'polpular', and phraseological slips like 'time and money wastage' instead of 'a waste of time and money'. There are also instances of incorrect word forms, such as 'To illustrates' instead of 'To illustrate'. While these errors do not seriously impede communication and the intended meaning remains clear, they prevent the vocabulary score from rising into higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting relative clauses and conditional structures. However, control over grammar and punctuation is inconsistent, featuring frequent errors. There are numerous punctuation and capitalization issues, such as missing spaces after periods and commas, and uncapitalized pronouns like 'i'. Grammatical errors involve subject-verb agreement and structural control, seen in phrases like 'why this is happened', 'the get curiosity', and 'when tourists have the exploration of diverse cultural just for the sake of getting photos'. Additionally, prepositional use and article omission are recurrent. These errors require some effort from the reader to parse, though the overall meaning is generally retrievable, which places the grammatical performance firmly within this band.
