Student answer (Band 5.5)

Theasedays, many people take the pictures of themselves without lookingthe famous place where they vist. I thnik that it is a negative trend and it is happen because of the two reasons.

people vist the famous places and they take selfies of themselves without looking the place because of popoularity. There are a numreous online plateforms such as Instagram,Facebook and You Tube where they post their pictures for not only show off themself but aslo for getting the fame from these plateforms.consequently, individuals vist there for just taking the photos without looking the place.

Memories are the other cause for photos. When people vist any famous places, they want to make life-time memories thorugh photographs and they waste their time for taking the pictures. Hence, they do not have time for looking at the place.

It is a negative development, people vist well-known places for just taking the photos, they cannot know about the proper history of the place. They are busy in taking the pictures of themselves and ignore the history of the places and disturbe the rules and relulations at the place. As a result, they missunderstand the history of teh place.

Taking everything into consideration, without looking at the place, people visit there to take the selfiles because they want to gain popularity on online platforms by posting their pictures and for life-time memories. Although there is a negative trend because people beak the rules and reguraltions at the places and cannot get the proper knowledge aboth the culture of the place, they can overcome by strick rules at the places.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by identifying both the causes of taking photos at well-known places without looking at them and explaining that it is a negative trend. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. The discussion on popularity and online platforms is somewhat repetitive, relying heavily on phrases like 'taking the photos without looking the place.' While the position is clear throughout, the ideas presented in the body paragraphs tend to lack sufficient extension and could benefit from more detailed supporting examples to move beyond basic assertions.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The text presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraph-by-paragraph structure that addresses the introduction, causes, evaluation, and conclusion. However, cohesion is at times mechanical and repetitive, particularly in the way ideas are linked between sentences. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun use in the final paragraph referring back to complex clauses. Although paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate the main points of the prompt, the transitions between sentences do not always flow smoothly, which affects the overall logical progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, demonstrating an attempt to use less common items such as 'popularity,' 'platforms,' and 'memories.' However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that occur throughout the text, including 'Theasedays,' 'vist,' 'thnik,' 'happen,' 'numreous,' 'plateforms,' 'themself,' 'aslo,' 'thorugh,' 'disturbe,' 'relulations,' 'missunderstand,' 'teh,' 'selfiles,' 'beak,' 'reguraltions,' 'aboth,' and 'strick.' While these errors do not completely impede communication, their frequency prevents the lexical range from achieving a higher level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over basic structures. There are several grammatical errors present, such as missing articles ('take the pictures of themselves' instead of 'pictures of themselves'), preposition errors ('looking the place' instead of 'looking at the place'), and issues with subject-verb agreement or tense consistency, as seen in 'it is happen because.' Punctuation and sentence boundaries also occasionally falter. These errors occur with some regularity but rarely impede overall communication.
