Student answer (Band 4.5)

A significant number of individuls visting famous attraction place in this era for clicking pictures of themself even not exploring the place. I believe this is a common concern nowdays and have bad trend for our socity.

To begin with grown numbers of people at tourist place just to take pictures make them more croweded and they destroying the beauty of place. For instance, If it continue for a while increasing numbers visting a same place increase the living and food cost in surrouing areas.

An signifucant resaons is that it also cause more litter and pollution on that place as they not intresting to explore the place. For example, they left there empty water bottle and food waste on the premissis that cause pollution.

Overall, Nowdays number of people visting attration place just for taking pictures not for actual exloring the place history and value that is bad trend in new genration.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You give a clear negative view, stating that this is a “bad trend,” and you offer relevant concerns about crowding, rising local costs, litter and pollution. However, the task asks both why people behave this way and whether it is positive or negative. The negative effects receive some explanation, but the reasons people take these photographs are not addressed: for example, you could discuss social-media sharing, the desire to record a trip, or seeking approval. Your examples are brief and the ideas are not sufficiently developed to fully answer the prompt. The response is also 97 words below the required minimum, which leaves too little space to explain and support both parts. Develop the causes and consequences in separate, fuller paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organisation: the opening states your view, the next paragraphs introduce concerns, and “Overall” signals a conclusion. Connectors such as “To begin with,” “For instance,” and “For example” help show relationships between points. However, the response does not progress through the full task, since it moves directly to negative effects without first explaining why people take these photographs. The second and third paragraphs also repeat the same general focus rather than building a sequence of distinct ideas. Some links are unclear, particularly the connection between taking photographs and higher living and food costs. Use a paragraph for causes, followed by one or two paragraphs explaining effects, and make each example clearly support its main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “tourist place,” “pollution,” “food waste,” and “history and value,” so the reader can identify the subject and your main concerns. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the message harder to follow. For example, “famous attraction place” and “clicking pictures of themself” are not natural collocations, while “actual exloring” repeats the idea without adding precision. Spelling errors such as “individuls,” “croweded,” and “surrouing” also weaken clarity. Build a small set of accurate expressions for tourism and social media, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help distinguish the causes of the trend from its effects.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a few longer structures, including “For instance, If it continue for a while…” and “as they not intresting to explore the place,” but these are not controlled successfully. Most sentences rely on simple patterns, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction occur frequently. For example, “they destroying the beauty” needs an auxiliary verb, while “it continue” requires a matching verb form. The opening is also a sentence fragment rather than a complete sentence. These problems sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Practise writing complete subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses with accurate forms, such as “because” or “although.” Check each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
