Student answer (Band 5.5)
In present days, most of the individuals visit famous places to click their photographs rather than exploring at the place. There are some reasons behind this trend like social media. According to my persepective, it is a negative trend as lack of knowledge about the place.
To begin with, one of the main reasons is get views and likes on social media. In present era, everyone uses social sites like facebook, instagram. They also love to upload their pictures. Whenever they visit well-known places, they prefer to take photographs of themselves. When they upload their photos on famou sites, they can get more likes. For example, a recent survey on social media results that influencer get more likes and comments. Whey they upload photos on unique places rather than regular photographs. Hence, photographs on well-known places can increase people income.
However, this scenerio is a negative trend. When tourists busy to take photos, without looking to destination. They cannot broaden their horizon regarding place culture, tradition and speciality. Due to this, they waste their trip money. For instance, one of the news headline was showing that 90% visitors failed to explain about place where they just visit. Hence, individuals cannot get enough knowledge because of photos.
In conclusion, tourists focus on their photographs while visiting famous places because of likes on social media. This trend can put impact on their knowledge.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: social-media attention is given as the reason, and you clearly describe the trend as negative because visitors learn less about the destination. The examples about likes and visitors’ knowledge are relevant, but they are asserted rather than convincingly explained; the survey and news headline are vague and unsupported. Your discussion also focuses mainly on the loss of cultural knowledge, with little development of other possible effects or of why people prioritise photographs. The conclusion restates your position but does not add much. The response is 19 words below the required minimum, so there is limited space to develop the ideas. Explain the cause-and-effect links more fully and support them with specific, credible examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining the cause, a paragraph discussing the negative effect, and a conclusion. This makes the overall line of argument easy to follow. You also use signposts such as “To begin with,” “However,” and “In conclusion.” However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Hence, photographs on well-known places can increase people income” does not clearly follow from the preceding point about likes, and “Hence, individuals cannot get enough knowledge because of photos” repeats the previous idea. Improve progression by explaining each link between claims and examples, and use pronouns or repeated key terms carefully so references remain clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “social media,” “well-known places,” “likes,” and “culture, tradition and speciality.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “broaden their horizon.” However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make the writing less natural: “click their photographs,” “famou sites,” “this scenerio,” and “put impact” are examples. Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “increase people income,” which does not clearly explain how photographs generate income. Build a more accurate range for discussing tourism and online behaviour, and check spelling and common word partnerships before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Your writing includes mostly simple sentence patterns, with some attempts to connect ideas using clauses, as in “When tourists busy to take photos, without looking to destination.” However, this construction is incomplete, and several other sentences show problems with verb forms, articles, agreement, or sentence structure. For example, “one of the main reasons is get views” needs a grammatical verb pattern, while “influencer get more likes” has a subject–verb agreement error. “They cannot broaden their horizon regarding place culture” also lacks clear grammatical relationships between the nouns. These errors sometimes make the reader pause, although the main message remains understandable. Practise accurate complex sentences and check each sentence for a complete subject and verb.
