Student answer (Band 5.5)

In today's life almost every individuals visit beautiful and attractive places for click their photographs, but they do not focus on beauty of place. This is a negative trend, i will discuss about it in upcoming paragraphs.

To begin with, as we all know nowadays people are very crazy to taking a photos and upload it on their social media and they think in this way they can get more likes and followers. But this puts negetaive impact because when they visit any famous place they did not intrested to know the history of that place. For instance, last year we were visited in Taj Mehal agra. There are a lot of people click their pictures with their family and friends but no one is their who ask about the history to anyone, even in the museum they just focus on photoshoots , there are many walls filled with written history of Taj Mehal no one read that. Which is very bed for our community.

On the other hand, another disadvange is taking more and more pictures also disturb other visitors because some people stand in same place for long time for perfect picture, due to this the place get very crowded and other visitors face a lots of problems. Here i give you example from my personal experience, when we visited a Niagara falls any time with our family and small baby, we also face same problem , we have to wait in a crowd with our small baby just because of that photoholic people.

In conclusion, taking a photos at any well known place is negative trend, because of this many people face difficulties.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you consider the trend negative, and you give two relevant reasons—visitors may ignore a place’s history, and people taking photos can obstruct others. The Taj Mahal and Niagara Falls examples help make these points concrete. However, the question asks both why this behaviour is happening and whether it is positive or negative. The social-media explanation addresses the cause, but the response gives much more space to the disadvantages, and the cause is not developed beyond seeking likes and followers. Some claims, such as “no one” reading the history, are too broad. Explain the motivations and consequences more precisely, and extend each main idea with a clear explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from a social-media motivation to the effects on other visitors, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument. However, some linking is mechanical, and the second body paragraph introduces another disadvantage without clearly connecting it to the overall explanation. References such as “this” in “This puts negative impact” are not always precise, while the long Taj Mahal example contains several ideas joined together. Use clearer sentence boundaries and refer explicitly to the idea each pronoun represents; vary transitions by showing the relationship between points rather than relying mainly on formulaic openings.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “social media,” “history,” “famous place,” “visitors” and “crowded.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “perfect picture” and “personal experience.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make the writing less natural: “crazy to taking a photos,” “negetaive impact,” “disadvange,” “bed for our community” and “photoholic people.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “beautiful and attractive places” and “focus on photoshoots.” Build a more accurate set of topic collocations and check spelling carefully. Choosing precise words will make your reasons clearer without needing more complicated vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses with “because,” “when” and “just because,” so there is some variety. The main message is usually understandable, but errors in sentence structure and verb forms occur frequently and sometimes make the reader work to follow the meaning. Examples include “almost every individuals visit,” “for click their photographs,” “last year we were visited,” and “when they visit … they did not interested.” Articles, plurals and agreement also need attention, as in “a photos” and “a lots of problems.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a correctly formed supporting clause, then check subject–verb agreement, tense consistency and articles. Greater control of these basic patterns would make your longer sentences more effective.
