Student answer (Band 5.5)
These days, number of people are visiting well-known places to click their pictures, even without knowing how the place looks. Reason which leads to this is social media and i believe this is a positive trend.
The main reason why individuals are visiting well-to-go structures for their photographs is to fullfill their desire. Nowadays, people are highly active on social media platforms which allows them to view trendy places on their screens. However, temptation to visit those places still remains in their hearts. For example, famous bollywood celebrity Ranbir kapoor purposed his girlfriend in Masai Mara junge in South Africa and posted their pictures on digital platform, later on that region witnessed increase in the international tourism as people started visiting the same place to satiate their hunger of clicking the picture at same place.
On the other side, there are some reason which states this as positive development. Visiting a new place require person to spend on travel, like food, hotel, gas and recreatin activites, which help in providing employment to the people of that area and allows government to collect taxes in the transactions leading to the economic development of the nation. For instance, Newzealand withnessed number of peolple visiting their country after the huge success of their local movie trinity.
To conclude, social media plays huge role in the lives of the people for visiting new places for having their pictures, but i think it is positive trens to keep them happy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: social media is given as the reason, and you clearly state that you see the trend as positive. The tourism example and the point about local jobs and tax revenue are relevant. However, the explanation of why people take photographs without appreciating the place is only partly developed; the celebrity example shows how a location becomes popular, but does not fully explain the desire to focus on selfies rather than the surroundings. The positive effects are also presented mainly as economic benefits, with little consideration of possible drawbacks. The response is five words below the required minimum, and the conclusion mostly repeats the opening rather than extending your position. Develop each main idea with a clearer explanation and a more directly relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph about the cause, a paragraph supporting your positive view, and a conclusion. Examples are placed alongside the points they illustrate, which helps the reader follow the general argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. The transition “On the other side” suggests a contrast, although the paragraph gives reasons supporting your stated positive position. Some links are also awkward or repetitive, such as “For example” followed by a long account that does not clearly connect back to the focus on taking photographs. Use more precise transitions, and make each paragraph’s opening sentence state its main point before explaining and illustrating it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “social media platforms,” “international tourism,” “employment,” and “economic development.” These choices show an effort to discuss the issue beyond basic personal opinions. However, the range is limited by repeated general wording such as “places,” “people,” and “pictures,” and several inaccurate or unnatural expressions make meaning less clear. For example, “well-to-go structures” and “satiate their hunger of clicking the picture” are not natural collocations; “recreatin activites” and “withnessed” also contain spelling errors. Choose precise phrases such as “popular tourist attractions” and “take photographs at the same location,” and check spelling and word forms carefully. This would make your ideas easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “platforms which allows them to view trendy places” and a longer sentence explaining tourism’s economic effects. However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur in basic sentence patterns as well as longer structures. Examples include “number of people are visiting,” “Visiting a new place require person,” and “which help in providing employment,” where articles, agreement, or verb forms are missing or incorrect. The sentence beginning “For example, famous bollywood celebrity…” is also difficult to manage because several ideas are joined without clear punctuation. Practise checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, then use complex clauses only when their relationships are clear.
