Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays many individuals visit famous attractions for just to take pictures of themselves, instead without exploring that place. This is a negative trend and it happens due the social media influencers and to show off their value in the society. This essay would argue how this is has a negative trend in our society.
On the one side,in today's life everybody has a mobile phones and using social websites like facebook, instagram and snapchat etc. Most of the time many people spend lot of time on using these social sites in their daily life, due to this they watch famous actors, comedians ,singers post their private pictures on these social handles, and after looking them they also want to visit these places without knowing the history and value of that place just because they also have to post those selfies in their social handles. For example,it has been seen that many pupils visit taj mahal for just to take selfies without knowing the history behind it.
On the other side , this is also happening because some masses want to create their value in there circle. When people sit with their friends and relatives, they want that people talk about them ,just to show that they have a standard and money to spend. For instance. many times it has been seen that when they sit with their close ones ,when other people ask them about that place, they usually say that we donot know the history and value of that place.
In conclusion, this is a negative trend because many people just go to these places under the influence of social media and to show off their worth in the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you identify social-media influence as a cause, add a second reason about wanting to impress friends, and clearly state that the trend is negative. The Taj Mahal example is relevant and helps illustrate the first cause. However, the response mainly explains why people take these photographs; the negative effects are asserted more than explored. For example, the conclusion calls the trend negative, but the essay does not clearly explain what is lost for visitors or why this matters beyond not knowing a place’s history. The second reason also needs fuller development. Explain the consequences of treating travel as a way to display status, and support the point with a more specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and each body paragraph focuses on a different proposed cause. This gives the reader a basic route through your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and linking phrases are used mechanically: “On the one side” and “On the other side” do not clearly signal contrasting views, since both paragraphs give reasons for the same trend. Several sentences repeat the idea of posting pictures or showing status without advancing the explanation. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each cause to its effect, while avoiding repeated points. Check punctuation and spacing around linking expressions so the organisation is easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “famous attractions,” “social media,” “history,” and “selfies,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. For example, “create their value in there circle” and “show off their worth in the society” do not express the intended idea naturally; “social handles” is also an awkward choice. There are repeated general words such as “people,” “place,” and “value.” Build a more precise range for discussing tourism, online image and status, and check spelling and word forms, including “their” rather than “there.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including explanations with “because” and examples introduced by “For example.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, agreement, articles and verb forms, sometimes making the reader work to understand the point. Examples include “everybody has a mobile phones,” “it happens due the social media influencers,” and “This essay would argue how this is has a negative trend.” The sentence beginning “For instance” is also incomplete or poorly connected to the following idea. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and complete sentences, and use punctuation to separate clauses. Proofread for repeated or conflicting verb forms such as “is has.”
