Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions: social-media influence and easy access to travel information are offered as reasons, and you clearly call the trend positive. The example of Indian travellers visiting the Maldives helps illustrate the influence of online trends. However, the response only partly fulfils the task because the central detail—that visitors photograph themselves without looking at or engaging with the place—is not explored directly. Your positive evaluation also shifts between saying people should choose places for history or relaxation and arguing that tourism creates jobs and boosts the economy; these points are relevant but not clearly connected to the behaviour in the prompt. Develop the reasons and explain more precisely why this particular trend is positive, while acknowledging any drawbacks.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs for causes and effects, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “To begin with,” “Additionally,” and “In conclusion” make the broad stages easy to follow. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes repetitive or unclear: the first body paragraph returns several times to social-media influence and easy access, while the second moves from personal learning to employment and local spending without clearly showing how each point supports the main judgement. Some connections are mechanical, and the conclusion largely repeats the introduction rather than drawing the argument together. Group related points, use clearer references to the prompt’s behaviour, and make each paragraph develop one central idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “social media influence,” “online booking,” “employment,” and “local economy,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, particularly “popular places,” “travelling,” and “positive impact.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “popluar,” “esay,” “infromation,” and “transpotation,” alongside imprecise or unnatural combinations such as “easy accessibility” and “travel their authentic food.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Build a more varied set of accurate expressions for tourism and visitor behaviour, and check spelling and collocations carefully before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and subordinate clauses, for example, “Most people like to follow trends on the social media which is why they try to go where other people are travelling.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Agreement errors include “Most people follows” and “travelling to places can increases”; other problems include “people ought to know the history of that place rather than following” and the incomplete construction “Due to travelling popular places can enhance the economy.” Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “most people” after a full stop and “a fun.” These recurring errors can make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and build complex sentences around clear, complete clauses.
