Student answer (Band 5.5)
A substantial proportion of the population goes to famous points to make memories and get a picture at the place so that they can show off it to their friends being unaware of what the place is and what importance it holds. This trend is increasing gradually.
It is good to go on a holiday and cover various places of the world to witness the beauty of God and mankind. Despite the inflation, individuals save for their vacation so that they can visit the places they were dreaming of.
The visitors particularly follow the celebritires and do what their ideals are doing, for instance, if Shahrukh Khan will go to a specific fort and posts a picture online, then his followers will try everything to visit the fort and post a picture with the same pose as of him on their social media platforms. By posting that picture they beleives that their is some resemblance between them and they are living exactly like him, people like to resonate their lifestyles and attitudes in the photographs.
Many tourists also follow the track of their friends, for example, if their friend has visited Lahore fort, which is a renowned fort in Lahore, Pakistan. Those trend followers will work their sweats off to to go to the place and click photgraphs to post on instagram, facebook and other platforms.
I believe that one should go and visit various places in the world to make memories but it is also essential to know the traditions and culture of the visiting point as it will be beneficial for their general knowledge and they will be able to speak about it if somebody asks them regarding it. Adding on, the interesting facts and history about the the spot can make it attractive for the listeners.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you explain the trend through celebrity influence and imitation of friends, and you give a qualified view that visiting places is worthwhile but should include learning about their culture and history. The examples of Shah Rukh Khan and Lahore Fort make the causes more concrete. However, the response does not state clearly whether the trend itself is positive or negative; the final paragraph shifts to the value of travel generally rather than judging people’s focus on photographs. Several ideas are also asserted rather than explained—for example, why copying a celebrity’s pose matters to visitors. Make your position explicit and develop the effects of prioritising photos over experiencing a place.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable paragraph structure, moving from an introduction to two explanations and then a concluding view. Examples help readers follow the points about celebrities and friends. However, the overall progression is not fully clear: the second paragraph praises travel but does not directly develop either cause or the evaluation, and the final paragraph does not clearly resolve the question about whether the trend is positive or negative. Some links are mechanical or awkward, such as “Adding on,” while repeated references to “those trend followers” make the discussion feel repetitive. Organise the body around the two task questions, use clearer transitions between ideas, and make the conclusion directly summarise your judgement.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic vocabulary, including “renowned,” “traditions and culture,” “general knowledge,” and “resemblance.” These choices help communicate the subject and show attempts to use less common language. However, several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “famous points,” “show off it,” “work their sweats off,” and “visiting point.” Spelling errors, including “celebritires,” “beleives,” and “photgraphs,” also reduce accuracy. Some wording is repetitive, particularly references to posting pictures on social media. Aim for natural collocations and precise terms for tourist attractions, taking photographs, and learning about a destination; proofread spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional examples such as “if Shahrukh Khan will go … then his followers will try” and a concluding sentence with “as it will be beneficial.” The meaning is generally understandable, but control is uneven, and errors recur in sentence construction, agreement, and articles. For example, “they beleives” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “their is” confuses “there” and “their”; “the the spot” also contains a repeated article. The opening sentence is long and difficult to manage, with several ideas joined together. Practise accurate conditional forms and agreement, and divide long sentences so each relationship between ideas is clear.
