Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You state a clear overall view that the trend is positive, and you give reasons such as reducing stress, interacting with people from different cultures, and gaining knowledge. However, the task asks both why people focus on taking photographs rather than looking at the place and whether this is positive or negative. Your explanation of the first part is limited: you mention stress and exploring new places, but do not explain the appeal of photographing oneself or why visitors may overlook their surroundings. The positive effects are also asserted rather than clearly demonstrated; for example, the link between travel photographs and academic success is not explained. Develop each main idea with a direct explanation and a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the paragraphs broadly separate reasons from your opinion. Some progression is visible through connectors such as “Moreover,” “For instance” and “To recapitulate.” However, the argument does not develop in a clear sequence: ideas about stress, technology, cultural interaction and academic achievement are placed together without showing how they connect. Several linking phrases are repetitive or awkward, including “This is because” and “The reason for this,” while “this why people travel” does not clearly refer back to a specific point. Organise each body paragraph around one main idea, then explain and exemplify it before moving to the next point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “historical values,” “modern technology,” “cultural background” and “personal traits,” which shows an effort to discuss travel and its effects. However, the usable range is limited, and frequent spelling and word-choice problems sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Phrases such as “boarden their mental horizon,” “most of places” and “inhabitants chance to excel” are not natural or precise in this context. Some expressions also repeat, particularly “click pictures” and “positive trend.” Build a more accurate set of collocations for tourism and social media, and check spelling and word forms carefully so your ideas are expressed clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to use both simple and more extended sentences, including clauses beginning “because” and “who,” and you try to connect reasons with supporting details. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make several sentences difficult to understand. For example, “people are more satisfy through taking pictures” has an incorrect verb form, while “these people who travel … they have chance” has faulty clause structure and missing articles. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “To recapitulate my points.I reiterate.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles and punctuation before adding extra clauses.
