Student answer (Band 5.0)
More and more people in this contemporary era visit well-known places to take photographs of themselves, without looking at the famous places. I would say it is definitely a negative trend .
There can be numerous causes behind it.First and foremost, the technological era . Everyone is so busy through scrolling their social media platforms and using phones for various purposes. Moreover, when even they visit historical places they are busy in taking photographs , so that they can post on instagram or elsewhere. In addition to this , individuals dont pay attention towards the history of that place , why is it soo famous or it is speacial.
Second reason could be no intrest.Because most of the yongsters dont feel like reading through the history of special places because they have no intrest at all . They just visit there to take pictures and for vlogging purposes. They mostly go there to make content so that they can stream and earn some money instead. They dont go there to see the beauty or Gain importsnt prace of knowlegde.
Overall, this is totally a negative trend , therfore government should take some initiatives to reduce these kind of impacts speacially on current generations and up coming.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You answer both questions: you identify social-media use and lack of interest as causes, and clearly call the trend negative. However, the reasons are mostly asserted rather than explained or supported with a specific example, and the effect of ignoring a place is not developed. The conclusion introduces government action but does not explain what measures might help. The response is 194 words, below the 250-word minimum; the 13 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. This shortfall limits the space available to develop your ideas, so the task is only partially addressed. To strengthen the response, explain how posting photos or making videos can distract visitors, then give a relevant example and develop your proposed solution.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
Your response has a basic structure: an opening position, two paragraphs giving possible causes, and a concluding sentence. Signposts such as “First and foremost,” “Moreover,” and “Second reason” help readers recognise the sequence. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited: several points repeat the idea that visitors take pictures or create content, without showing how each point develops the argument. Some transitions are awkward or incomplete, as in “Second reason could be no intrest.Because…,” and the final sentence combines a conclusion with a recommendation without a clear link. Use complete topic sentences, connect each explanation to its consequence, and separate the conclusion from any practical recommendation.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “social media platforms,” “historical places,” “vlogging purposes,” and “content.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main causes and your opinion. However, the range is limited and several expressions are imprecise or unnatural, such as “busy through scrolling,” “special places,” and “Gain importsnt prace of knowlegde.” Spelling errors—including “intrest,” “yongsters,” “speacial,” and “knowlegde”—are noticeable and can make parts of the message harder to follow. Aim for more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling carefully. For example, describe visitors as “focused on documenting their visit” rather than simply saying they are busy taking photographs.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Most of your sentences use simple structures, and the reader can generally understand your main point. You also attempt longer sentences with linking clauses, for example, “Everyone is so busy through scrolling their social media platforms and using phones for various purposes.” However, sentence boundaries and clause construction are often inaccurate: “There can be numerous causes behind it.First and foremost, the technological era” leaves an incomplete sentence, while “Second reason could be no intrest.Because…” also breaks the idea incorrectly. There are further issues with articles, agreement, and punctuation, including “Second reason” and spaces before commas or full stops. Practise writing complete sentences, then combine them with accurate subordinate clauses and consistent punctuation.
