Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, taking photographs at travel destinations is becoming increasingly common. There are several reasons behind this trend. In my opinion, it is completely fine to take lots to pictures at well-known places.

The predominant reason behind this habit is a social media. This is because people post thier pictures on social media after visiting any famous site. For example, teenagers are inclined to upload multiplt photos once they visit any place. Another important reason is a creating beautiful memories. In other words, individuals take so many pictures of themselves at famous place to record best part of their life so that they can remember those happy days when they get older. Lastly, many adults persue photography as a hobby. Therefore, they take numerous photos on well-known site.

However, I believe that this is positive trend. Because young people can make money through photography as they sometimes sell those pictures. Similarly, they also runs social media platforms where they engage with extensive audiance which help them become famous. Moreover, families should always capture their happy moments so that they can look back to those beautiful days. Nevertheless, one must have hobby weather it is photography or any another hobby because it help us be creati

To conclude, taking pictures at famous place has no serious disadvantages as people enjoy the place at the same time collecting memories. Moreover, it can become their source of income.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both questions: social media, memory-making and photography as a hobby are offered as reasons, and you clearly state that the trend is positive. The examples about selling photographs and sharing them with an audience are relevant. However, several points are asserted rather than explained; for instance, the claim that people can earn money from photography needs a clearer link to taking self-portraits at famous places. The discussion also does not fully engage with the prompt’s concern that visitors may photograph themselves without looking at the place. The final sentence is cut off, leaving the point about hobbies incomplete. The response is 16 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop and support the ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph explaining reasons, a paragraph giving your view, and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “For example,” “In other words,” and “To conclude” help show relationships between ideas. However, some linking is mechanical or inaccurate: “However” introduces a positive opinion rather than a contrast, and “Because” creates a fragment after the preceding full stop. The second body paragraph also combines several claims without developing clear links between them. The unfinished final sentence interrupts the progression. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each supporting explanation directly to the point it illustrates.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “travel destinations,” “social media,” “photography,” “famous site,” and “source of income.” These choices make the general meaning clear. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors reduce precision, such as “thier,” “multiplt,” “a social media,” and “a creating beautiful memories.” Phrases such as “take lots to pictures” and “extensive audiance” also sound unnatural or are incorrectly formed. Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling and forms carefully. More precise language for the prompt’s central idea—such as describing visitors’ attention being focused on their phones—would also help you express the issue more directly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a purpose clause in “so that they can remember those happy days” and a relative clause in “which help them become famous.” Most ideas remain understandable, but some sentence structures are faulty. “Because young people can make money through photography” is a fragment when separated from the previous sentence, and the final sentence beginning “because it help us” is incomplete. There are also errors in articles and agreement, as in “a famous site” used where a plural or determiner is needed, and “they also runs.” The sentence “which help them” also needs a verb agreeing with its reference. Practise checking complete clauses, subject–verb agreement, and article use.
