Student answer (Band 5.5)
The craze of a tourism is increasing by a fair margin all over the globe. However most of the people are visiting famous places just for taking pictures of themselves, without explore and gain knowledge about the place. I personally belive this is a negative trend as, main purpose of visit of any popular place is to educate ourselves. This essay will discuss both, why such development happening and why it is the negative trend.
To begin with, the root cause behind this development is people these days tend to do more show-off infront of their friends, family and society. To cite an example many people in India, visit "Iron piller" click a photograph with it, and return without knowing the history and reason behind to build it. Moreover, many people think, we should click picture in order keep that specific moment alive for a lifetime, this is also a key reason behind why people prefer to click picture with populer place.
This part will discuss, why just taking picture with famous place is negative development. Firstly, the main reason for visiting famous place is to educate ourselves. To eleborate, we must gain knowledge about history about the place such as how it developed, who ordered to make it, etc. Secondly, we shold enjoy the place to relieve our stress rather than just clicking pictures.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions: you identify showing off and preserving a moment as reasons, and clearly state that the trend is negative. The example of visitors photographing the Iron Pillar without learning its history helps illustrate your point. However, the response only partially develops the task: the reasons are briefly stated, and the negative effects are mostly framed as missed opportunities to learn or relax rather than explained in depth. The final sentence, “Whenever, we visit any famous place, we should focus on gain”, is unfinished, so the conclusion and your final supporting idea are missing. The response is also 14 words below the required minimum. Develop each reason with explanation or an example, and complete the ending with a concise summary of your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph explaining causes, and a paragraph presenting your view of the trend. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with”, “Moreover” and “Firstly” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression is sometimes mechanical: “This part will discuss” announces the next paragraph rather than linking its ideas naturally, and “This essay will discuss both” is not followed by a balanced discussion of both sides. Some links between claims need clearer explanation, and the unfinished final sentence prevents a complete ending. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, connect examples directly to the claim they support, and add a complete concluding paragraph.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “famous places”, “history”, “educate ourselves” and “relieve our stress”, and the example gives the discussion some specificity. There is also an attempt to use less common expressions such as “root cause” and “key reason”. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, including “craze of a tourism”, “do more show-off”, “click picture” and “popular place”. Spelling errors such as “belive”, “eleborate” and “populer” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of phrases for tourism and social-media behaviour, and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, for example, “I personally belive this is a negative trend as…” and the sentence beginning “To cite an example”. However, complex constructions are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to follow. Examples include “without explore and gain knowledge”, “many people in India, visit”, “we should click picture in order keep” and “the main purpose of visit of any popular place”. The final sentence is also incomplete. Practise verb patterns after prepositions and modal verbs, article use, and sentence boundaries. After drafting, check that each sentence has a complete clause and that its verbs agree with the subject.
