Student answer (Band 5.5)
More people visit popular attractions just to take a selfie or a video. The tourism is expanding worldwilde help with social media. The main reason for this is increasing poularity in social media. I believe this is a positive impact for tourism.
Nowadays people spend more time on social media rather than anything. Specially the younger generations are trying to become an influencers. They do not thinking to become doctors or engineers. The main reason for this is people can earn money from social media platforms. So the people can earn money while travelling across the world. They are not trying hard to get a job or stay in business field. The people earn money from uploading pictures and videos to social media that they are taken from famous tourist attractions. As an example, When younger generations visit popular places they do not care about history of the area, they only need a good pictures or videos to upload social media.
The impact on this is quite different. The people still spend money on flight and tickets for the attractions. So the tourism still expanding and increasing the earnings from people. Even they came to get a picture or video they still have to pay the price to visit them. It is a good advantage for the countires that depend on tourism. They also spending money to attract people. As an example, people in Thailand made a good strategy to this. They invented new places to take pictures and videos around the coastal areas. So people will eventually goes to the location just to take a picture of themselves.
In conclusion, even many people visit popular attractions to take picures and videos of themselves, the tourism will expand more eventually.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions and state a clear overall view: social media encourages people to photograph themselves, and you consider the trend positive because it supports tourism. The explanation that people may earn money by posting travel content is relevant, as is the point that visitors still pay for flights and attractions. However, the causes are presented quite narrowly, and the claim that young people no longer want professional careers is broad and not sufficiently supported. The Thailand example also needs clearer detail to show how the strategy benefits tourism. To strengthen the response, explain more fully why visitors focus on themselves rather than the place, and acknowledge or weigh a possible drawback before concluding that the trend is positive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph about causes, one about the impact, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the main direction of your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several links are repetitive or imprecise. For example, “The impact on this is quite different” does not clearly signal the shift from causes to your evaluation, while repeated use of “So” makes connections feel mechanical. The final paragraph repeats the view that tourism will expand without summarising the reasoning. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the point it supports; vary linking expressions and make references such as “this” explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “social media platforms,” “tourist attractions,” “coastal areas,” and “tourism,” so the reader can understand the subject and your main points. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “people,” “pictures and videos,” and “popular places.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “worldwilde,” “poularity,” “countires,” and “picures,” as well as unnatural combinations like “good advantage” and “made a good strategy to this.” These reduce precision and sometimes make the message less fluent. Build a wider set of accurate expressions for motivations and effects, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use basic linking structures, but the range is limited and errors occur frequently, including in sentences where the intended meaning is understandable. Examples include “They do not thinking” and “people in Thailand made a good strategy,” where verb forms are faulty, and “the people can earn money” and “They also spending money,” which show problems with verb construction. Articles, plurals, and agreement also need attention: “a good pictures” and “people will eventually goes” are examples. Sentence boundaries and capitalization are inconsistent, as in “As an example, When…”. Practise accurate simple clauses first, then build complex sentences with controlled verb forms, articles, and subject–verb agreement.
