Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern world, it is increasingly common that increasing number of individuals are visiting popular places just to take photographs and mark their presence rather than soaking the beauty of that place in or without even looking at the beautiful architecture. This is mainly because of growing trend of social media and eagerness to mark off all the places from their checklist fastly. I believe this is a negative trend as individual should focus on embracing the beauty rather than just capturing it.
To begin with, because of growing trend of social media, individuals' focus have been shifted from enjoying the beautiful architecture of those monuments or nature to capturing the photographs into their smartphones. Although taking pictures is essential to capture those precious moments in their phones as a memory to cherish in future, it is also imperative to embrace the beauty of the breathtaking architecture. For instance, everyone wants to follow the trend to show off their lives which creates pressure on a person to take photos and post on popular social media applications like instagram, facebook. In addition to this, sometimes individuals' tries to sign off all the places from their checklist so quickly that they even don't realize what's the purpose of visiting popular places.
Secondly, this growing trend of social media apps and pressure to mark their presence on it have negatively impact the individual's lives. There is so much to soak in if we visit new places as the nature has spectacular views that inspires everyone's lives and mind-blowing architecture but these are completely ignored because individuals focus has been shifted to just take photographs of themselves to show off.
In conclusion, when we are on vacation, it is essiential that we should take frequent break from technological devices and just embrace the beauty of popular places and try to understand new culture and traditions. Focus should be shifted from taking photos to live in that moment and embrace the beautiness of that place.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your response addresses both questions: you identify social media and the desire to complete a travel checklist as reasons, and clearly judge the trend negatively. The point about posting photographs to show off is relevant, and the contrast between recording a place and appreciating its architecture supports your position. However, the reasons are not developed equally. The checklist idea is mentioned briefly but not explained with an example, while the negative effects are mostly described in general terms. The second body paragraph repeats the idea that people ignore scenery rather than adding a distinct consequence. To strengthen the response, explain how online approval or rushed sightseeing changes people’s experience, then support each reason with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Its progression from causes to your negative evaluation is easy to follow, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Secondly” and “In conclusion” help readers navigate the argument. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some control of progression. However, the links between ideas can feel mechanical, and the second body paragraph largely restates the first paragraph’s point about social media and neglected scenery. Some references, such as “it” in “what’s the purpose of visiting popular places,” are not fully precise. Give each paragraph a distinct focus and use clearer links between cause, example and consequence to make the development more flexible.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “breathtaking architecture,” “checklist,” “social media applications” and “embracing the beauty.” These choices make your main ideas clear, and you attempt some less common expressions. At times, however, word choice and collocation are inaccurate or repetitive: “mark their presence” and “sign off all the places” do not express the intended ideas naturally, while “beautiness” is not the appropriate noun. There are also spelling errors such as “fastly,” “essiential” and the lower-case names “instagram” and “facebook.” Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling; this will make your vocabulary more effective without needing unnecessarily elaborate wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession beginning “Although taking pictures…” and a reason clause with “because of.” The overall meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “individuals’ focus have been shifted” has subject–verb disagreement, and “this growing trend … have negatively impact” combines an incorrect verb form with disagreement. Other examples include “individuals’ tries” and “the nature has,” where the verb or article pattern needs correction. Review agreement, verb forms and article use, then proofread longer sentences for control. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen the range you are already attempting.
