Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a clear overall opinion that the trend is positive, and you offer a relevant example involving photographs shared on social media and a university photography event. However, the response only minimally answers the two questions. The reasons people focus on taking selfies rather than looking at a place are not explained; the discussion mainly says that young people enjoy photography and that pictures preserve memories. The positive judgement is repeated, but its benefits are not developed, and the conclusion introduces an unclear contrast between “some people” and “few person.” To strengthen the response, explain why people behave this way—for example, to record experiences or gain social-media attention—and then support your view with specific consequences for visitors and places. The ideas need clearer explanation and development to address the task fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is an attempt to organise the response into an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion, and linking expressions such as “To commence with,” “Furthermore” and “In addition” show an effort to connect ideas. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the paragraphs do not clearly separate the causes from the evaluation, and several points repeat the same idea about young people taking photographs. Some links are inaccurate or do not show a clear relationship, as in “although, Some people say that is positive trend. However, few person argue that.” References such as “this thing” are also vague. Plan one paragraph around reasons and another around whether the trend is positive or negative, then use clear topic sentences and links that accurately express the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “photography,” “memories,” “social media” and “positive trend,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling errors or inaccurate word choices strain understanding. Examples include “well know lands,” “overselves,” “enverinment,” “genzy” and “photoshooter.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “captured lot of pic” and “went to occasion and participate it.” Aim to learn accurate topic vocabulary and common word partnerships, and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions such as “take selfies at tourist attractions,” “document their experiences” and “share photographs online” would help you express the ideas clearly without repeating “picture” and “positive thing.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts both short statements and longer sentences, and it uses a few connectors to join clauses. However, sentence structures are very limited overall, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “youngster went to mall, cafe, parks, they clicks many picture” combines clauses without correct punctuation and has inconsistent verb forms and number agreement. “University gave lot of prize” also lacks necessary grammatical elements, while the final sentence is incomplete. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using conjunctions such as “because” and “although.” Check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb, and review articles, plural forms and punctuation before submitting.
