Student answer (Band 5.5)
These days many people are exploring famous areas to snap self-portraits without glancing at the surroundings.I reckon it is generally a negative development because people are not enjoying the beauty of that place.
There are several reaons why people are becoming more interested in taking photographs.Firstly, social media platforms are encouraging people to share every kind of personal experience with others. Many individuals are in the competition of getting more likes and views so they are sharing their selfies of different places. Moreover, people are more likely to follow them as they want to be like them. For example, famous vloggers visit any area just to promote any product to upload pictures and public think that they are enjoying their best life. As a result people often visit that place without even glancing at the appearance.
On the second hand , people also want to create memories through photographs. They believe that this will help them remember special moments and share their experience with others.
However I believe this is a negative trend. The drawback is peope fail to appreciate the natural beauty and historical importance. Moreover, constantly using cellphones can reduce social interaction with friends and family.
To sum up, although taking photographs is a good way but I believ focusin too much

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions: you identify social-media attention and memory-making as reasons, and you state that the trend is negative because visitors miss the beauty and historical value of places. However, the response only partially develops these points. The example about vloggers and likes is relevant, but the link between their behaviour and ordinary visitors is not fully explained; the point about preserving memories is also brief. Your conclusion is cut off (“I believ focusin too much”), so your final judgement is not fully reinforced. The response is 39 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to explain and support your ideas. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation or example, and complete the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining reasons, a paragraph giving your view, and an attempted conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” “For example,” and “As a result” help show relationships between ideas. However, progression is uneven: the second reason about creating memories appears briefly, then the essay shifts to drawbacks without fully connecting the points. “On the second hand” is not an appropriate transition here, and the final sentence stops before its idea is complete, weakening the ending. Some punctuation spacing also makes the text harder to follow. Use clear paragraph links, develop each point in sequence, and finish with a complete summary.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “social media platforms,” “self-portraits,” “natural beauty,” “historical importance,” and “social interaction.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “promote any product” and “special moments.” However, several word choices and collocations are awkward or imprecise, including “in the competition of getting more likes,” “public think,” and “enjoying their best life.” Spelling errors such as “reaons,” “peope,” and “believ” are noticeable and reduce accuracy. Aim for more natural phrasing and check spelling carefully; a few precise expressions will be more effective than repeated general wording such as “people” and “place.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause in “because people are not enjoying the beauty” and a result structure beginning “As a result.” Most of the meaning remains understandable, but errors occur in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “public think” lacks agreement and an article, while “people are in the competition of getting” is an awkwardly formed construction. The opening has no space after the full stop, and “However I believe” needs punctuation after the introductory word. The final sentence is incomplete, so it cannot communicate its intended grammatical relationship. Practise building complete sentences and proofreading agreement, articles, and punctuation.
