Student answer (Band 5.5)

it has been seen that more and more people are inclined to photograph them at well known places, even without looking at the place . the reason of this trend being the social media popularity .I believe this is very frusturating to see everyone following this trend.

Today with the bombardement of social media influencers and their fancy life style , everyone wants to get the fame and social appeal .this has resulted in the trend of taking photographs at the well known places. When anyone put these pictures on the social media, others get attracted too and end up doing the same thing.Consequently, our society is experiencing a distress where everyone is fascinated with the fancy pictures. Moreover, this trend has made the people so crazy that they end up taking photographs even at holy places. This is totally unacceptable , since the holy places have their due respect which should be considered.

The advocates of this practice believe that if they visit any well known place, it is memorable to have a photograph there . Futrher, with social media, they find an opportunity to show this to their social circle and get public appeal. one more important avenue of this photography is people also earn through ratings and maximum likes on their pictures. As a reault, it is helping people with economic stability.

in conclusion , i believe this trend of taking pictures in well known places should be discouraged. this is promoting glamour and a frusturation in our society .therefore, creating disturbance and complexes in the people whi cannot afford to go at these places.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both questions: social media is presented as the main reason, and your position is that the trend is negative. The explanation that people imitate photographs they see online is relevant, and you add reasons supporters might value the practice, including memories, social approval, and income from likes. However, the negative judgement is stronger than the development of its consequences. The point about holy places is specific but would benefit from an example or explanation of the harm caused; the final claim about “complexes” and people who cannot afford to travel is also asserted rather than demonstrated. Develop these effects more fully and make the relationship between your examples and your overall position explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining the trend, a paragraph presenting reasons in its favour, and a conclusion. This gives the reader an overall route through your ideas. You also use linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Consequently,” and “As a result.” At times, however, connections feel mechanical or unclear. For example, “Consequently, our society is experiencing a distress” does not clearly show how the preceding point leads to this result, and the shift to the advocates’ view could be signposted more directly. Some ideas are crowded together, particularly in the second paragraph. Group each main point with its explanation and use clearer references to show how each point supports your argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “social appeal,” “public appeal,” “economic stability,” and “fascinated,” which helps communicate ideas about online attention and travel. There are also attempts at less common expressions, but several are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “bombardement of social media influencers,” “a distress,” and “a frusturation.” Spelling errors, including “Futrher,” “reault,” and “whi,” also reduce control. Some phrases repeat the same idea of fame and appeal without adding precision. Choose more natural collocations and check spelling carefully; for instance, describe the influence of social media content directly and use precise terms for the social or financial benefits people seek.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at longer structures, including a reason clause with “since” and a result clause beginning “therefore.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but sentence control is inconsistent. The opening begins with a lower-case “it” and joins clauses with punctuation that does not clearly separate them. In “When anyone put these pictures,” the verb form does not agree with the subject, while “one more important avenue … is people also earn” has a faulty sentence structure. The conclusion also contains a fragment beginning “therefore, creating.” Review subject–verb agreement, sentence boundaries, and how to form clauses after linking words. Building accurate complex sentences will make your reasoning easier to follow.
