Student answer (Band 6.0)
Modern man in the contemporary era visiting multiple renowned places to capture their own pictures without even thorough look at the place. The main reasons why it is happening and why it is a negative trend will be discussed in this essay in detail.
We all are running in a rat race and the root cause is social media. Everyone wants to be on the top in the running trend. Each time when any location, activity, cuisine or attire comes into trend, people start posting thier pictures with them without even experiencing that particular thing or moment. The prime reason is to flaunt or make other people feel jealous. Some influencers do this to hype in thier followers.
This trend is absolutely a negative one because individuals have strated living their lives for the sake of other people and not for themselves. Gone are those days when all family members spent their precious time together while exploring any new places. Nowadays, youngsters who cannot afford visiting certain places, they still go there, click photographs with those places without entering into it, just for the sake of publicity and pride. Our first priority should be ourself, our satisfaction and our enjoyment and not others.
In conclusion, capturing valuable moments with various famous places is not a negative trend if the main purpose of visiting and capuring is an individual's own satisfaction and not anyone or anything else.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you attribute the behaviour mainly to social media and describe it as negative because people seek approval rather than personal enjoyment. The examples about posting trendy food or clothing and taking photos outside places are relevant. However, the explanation of why this happens is brief, and the claim that visitors may not enter a place is not clearly connected to the prompt’s focus on failing to look at it. Your conclusion also softens your position by saying the practice is not negative when done for personal satisfaction, without resolving how that differs from the behaviour described. The response is 14 words below the required minimum, and the limited development leaves some parts of the task less fully addressed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for causes and evaluation, and a conclusion. The progression from social-media pressure to the negative effects is generally easy to follow, and phrases such as “The prime reason” and “In conclusion” signal relationships between ideas. However, some links are abrupt: the discussion moves from influencers to family time, then to people who cannot afford certain places, without explaining how these examples connect. The conclusion also introduces a qualification that is not fully reconciled with the earlier claim that the trend is “absolutely” negative. Develop each paragraph around a clearer sequence of claim, explanation, and example, and use referencing to make connections more explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “social media,” “rat race,” “flaunt,” “publicity,” and “satisfaction.” These choices help communicate your ideas, and some expressions show an attempt to use less common language. However, several phrases are unnatural or imprecise, such as “to hype in their followers,” “running trend,” and “without even thorough look.” Spelling errors, including “thier,” “strated,” and “capuring,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more natural collocations and precise wording—for example, describe people as seeking “likes and approval” rather than trying to make others jealous. Proofreading for spelling and checking how words combine would make your vocabulary more effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the conditional structure “if the main purpose … is an individual's own satisfaction” and the relative clause “youngsters who cannot afford visiting certain places.” Meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. The opening is a sentence fragment: “Modern man … visiting multiple renowned places,” and “without even thorough look” is missing an article. There are also problems with agreement and forms, as in “Everyone wants to be on the top in the running trend,” and the long sentence beginning “Nowadays, youngsters” is difficult to control. Practise complete sentence structures and check articles, verb forms, and clause boundaries; this will help you express your ideas more accurately.
