Student answer (Band 5.5)

NOW, PLACES ARE MORE FAMOUS TO TAKE A PICTURES.IN PRESENT TIMES, ALL INDIVIDUALS CHOOSE TO USE POPULAR PLACES FOR CAPTURE THEIR OWN MOMENTS WITHOUT EVEN NO ANY IDEA ABOUT THAT SPOT. I BELIEVE THAT IT IS A NEGATIVE TREND WHICH WILL BE EXPLAINED IN UPCOMING PARAGRAPHS WITH ALL THE RELEVENT REASONS AND EXAMPLES.

TO COMMENCE WITH, ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS IS SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCING ON THE PEOPLE. TO EXPLAIN, RECENTLY PEOPLE ARE ADDICTED WITH A SOCIAL MEDIA ON A HIGHER LEVEL AND CAN TRUST MORE ON INFLUENCER WHICH WILL LEAD THEM TO FAMOUS PLACES WITHOUT KNOWING. TO EXAMPLIFY, A PERSON SEEN A CAFE ADVERTISE ON INSTAGRAM WHICH IS CREATED BY THEIR FAVOURITE ARTIST THEREFORE, THEY BELIEVE THAT I ALSO HAVE TO GO TO CAFE FOR HAVE PICTURES JUST BECAUSE MY FAVOURITE ONE HAS A MOMENT WITH THAT PLACE.

ACCORDING TO ME, IT IS A NEGATIVE TREND IF CITIZENS ARE DISSATISFIED WITH THAT SPOTS AFTER VISITED IN REAL. TO ILLUSTRATE, WHEN HUMAN BEINGS GO TO THAT PLACE FOR CLICK THE PICTURES BUT WHEN THEY REACH THEY REALISE THAT IT IS NOT WORTH IT TO VISIT. AS A RESULT OF THEY END UP ON TRUST ISSUES. MOREOVER, WEST OF THE TIME IS THE BIGGEST NEGATIVE TREND BECAUSE SOME PARTS OF THE SOCIETY IS TAKE A PRECIOUS TIME FROM THEIR DAILY LIVES TO VISIT PLACES DUE TO THEIR POPULARITY. AS AN EXAMPLE, SOMEONE SKIP BIRTHDAY PARTY OF THEIR BESTFRIEND ONLY FOR CLICKED A IMAGE OF THEIRSELF TO POST ON FACEBOOK BUT THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO DO THAT . AND END OF THE DAY THEY MISSING BOTH OF THEIR IMPORTANT TASK.

IN CONCLUSION,INFLUENCED BY SOCIAL MEDIA PLAY A BIGGEST ROLE BEHIND THE EFFECT OF VISITING WELL KMOWN SPOTS WITHOUT LOOKING AT THAT PLACE WHICH CAUSE NEGATIVE IMPACTS ON PEOPLE'S WHICH LEADS TO DISSATISFACTION AND WEST OF THE TIME.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both questions: you identify social-media influence as a reason and clearly state that the trend is negative. The Instagram café example makes the influence of celebrities and online content concrete, while the discussion of disappointment and missing a friend’s birthday gives relevant reasons for your view. However, the explanation of why people visit without appreciating the place could be developed more directly, and the point about “trust issues” is unclear: explain who or what people stop trusting and why. Some examples also need clearer links to the main issue. To strengthen the response, explain the causes and consequences in more detail and make each example explicitly show how photo-taking replaces genuine engagement with the destination.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining a cause, a paragraph supporting your negative view, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “To commence with,” “To explain,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the broad direction. However, some linking is mechanical, and connections between ideas are occasionally unclear. For example, the move from disappointment at a destination to “trust issues” is not explained, while the birthday example introduces a consequence that needs a clearer link to the central argument. The conclusion also repeats the main points rather than bringing them together precisely. Use fewer formulaic transitions and build each paragraph around one clear point, followed by an explanation and a directly relevant example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “social media,” “influencer,” “dissatisfied,” and “popularity,” and you communicate the general meaning of your ideas. However, the range is limited by repeated basic words such as “place,” “people,” and “pictures,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate enough to make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “social media influencing on the people,” “west of the time,” and “well kmown spots.” Spelling and word forms also need careful checking, as in “relevent” and “exemplify.” Build a more precise set of topic phrases and learn them in natural combinations, such as “be influenced by social media,” “waste time,” and “well-known destinations.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “which,” “because,” and “when,” and the overall message can generally be followed. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in longer sentences. For example, “A person seen a cafe advertise” has an incorrect verb form, and “some parts of the society is take” combines incompatible verb forms and agreement. Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries also need attention; the opening “take a pictures” and the run-on structure in the café example illustrate these issues. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected subordinate clause. Check subject–verb agreement, past-tense forms, articles, and punctuation before submitting, especially in sentences containing several ideas.
