IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Luis,

Student answer (Band 7.0)

Dear Mr. Brown,

I hope you are doing well! I am writing this letter with regards my country's popular dish, that i intend to make on this event.

As you know, the club is arranging an food event where people can make their countries popular food. Being a member of this club, I would also like to get engage in this party and I planned to make water balls.

Water ball is everyone's favorite in India be it younger or older. The balls are made with Suji and flour , while the water is get ready with putting unlimited spices in it including mint, masala, zeera, boondi, imli and many more items. The overall taste of water ball can take people on the seventh sky. It is not sweet not salty. The best thing about this food is it is useful to digest other food.

I personally think water balls should be added in this international food event so that people from around the world can taste it.
