You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

Hello Luis,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to suggest you a traditional dish from my country India, which would be perfect for our upcoming food event.

I am planning to make a dish known as “Makki di roti and Saraon da saag”. I have already purchased the necessary ingredients and arranged the spot for the food cart.

This dish is basically a flat bread made of corn with a sweet and savoury mustard curry. It is not only delicious but healthy as well. This dish sounds simple but it has flavours and textures.

In my opinion, this dish should certainly be a part of our event as it represented simplicity of Indian cuisines. Nowadays, people around the world eat Indian food and they admire it.
