IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Luis,

I hope you are doing splendidly! I am the member of an International Students' club. I am excited about upcoming event to celebrate famous food from all over the world.

In my home country India, we have a very popular dish named 'kheer' we called it 'sweet pudding' in English.

Basicly, this dish is a sweet dish, and It's made from rice and milk. You can add dry fruits on the top of everything. Some people liked it when it's warm and others liked it when it's cold. It's totally depends on the person's choice.

A number of dishes will be organized from different countries, so I thought why not we also add 'Rice Pudding' in that list. Firstly, it's sweet and most of the people like sweet dishes, and secondly, everyone knows the special dish from India.

I hope you will consider my choice.
