You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Luis,

Student answer (Band 7.0)

This is a reference to participate in the event of celebrating the popular food from around the world.

I would like to participate in the event by cooking the popular dish, called Vada Pau of my country India.

Vada Pau is an easy cooked dish, in which we need vegetables like, potatoes, and onions, and species like red chilli powder, turmeric and chat masala. For cooking this dish, we need to boil the potatoes and onions, then include all the spices mentioned above according to your taste. Fill this paste into the bun and then Vada Pau is ready.

The Vada Pau is a popular dish in my country India. This is specifically originated from Mumbai city, which is the biggest city of my nation. The taste of this dish is so delicious that, it is considered as a national food of my country. This dish is similar to the popular international dish burger. But the Vada Pau is more healthier than the burger as it has low calories and is pure vegetarian. People of the event will enjoy this dish because of the taste, and healthiness of it.
