Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points: you offered to make a dish, described it, and explained its importance. However, the response ends abruptly mid-sentence, which leaves the final point regarding the dish's inclusion in the event slightly underdeveloped. To improve, ensure you complete your thoughts and provide a clear concluding sentence that ties back to the event. The tone is appropriate for a letter to an organizer, but the sudden termination of the text prevents a fully developed response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your ideas. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'Initially' and 'Later' to sequence the recipe steps. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'About this dish' and 'About preparation method', which feel a bit mechanical. To reach a higher band, try to use more varied linking words and ensure that your sentences flow naturally into one another rather than feeling like a list of separate points.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for this task, such as 'traditional values', 'convenience', and 'nutritional values'. However, there are several spelling errors ('whcih', 'occiaison', 'semilon', 'consistancy', 'requiremnet', 'nutriction') and some word choice issues, such as 'mades from' instead of 'is made from'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they do limit your score. Focus on proofreading your work to catch these common spelling mistakes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'I am writing to request you to consider my home country's dish add into' (should be 'adding to'), 'It is enjoyed people' (should be 'by people'), and 'Always, water should be in double quantity' (awkward phrasing). Subject-verb agreement and preposition usage are areas that need attention. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors impacts the overall fluency of your writing.
