IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

Dear Luis,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing to offer my help for the upcoming international food event. I would be delighted to prepare a popular Indian dish called Butter Chicken.

Butter Chicken is a traditional Indian dish made with tender pieces of chicken cooked in a rich tomato sauce with butter, cream and other many Indian spices. It is usually served with rice, naan and usually like it by the youngsters of my age.

I believe this dish should include in the event because it represent the Indian culture and cuisine very well. It has a unique flavor which is neither too spicy and to mild. As every person taste is different from other one. So, its is suitable for every foreigner and I believe that this dish is liked by them. As the students also in the foreign country want the Indian traditional food as well as they also enjoy it.
