IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had at a cinema last Sunday.

While watching a movie, I have noticed few issues but the major ones are fluctuation in the volume along with unnecessary background noise and the quality of the movie, which should be clear.

Background noise was the main issue, which did not allow me to focus on a movie and sometimes it went completely off volume and dialogues did not match with the scene. In addition, a movie was quite blurry , which interrupted my focus and I loose the interest. In regard, I coordinated with a crew member, the problem was same at all.

It would be highly beneficial if you could investigate the problems and arrange necessary measures so that next time it will provide an extraordinary experience while watching. I would like to request you to provide me a refund or a free movie voucher for my next visit.

I look forward to having a prompt response at my request and I hope these issues will be resolved soon.
