Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points: offering to make a dish, describing it, and explaining why it should be included. However, the response is slightly under the 150-word minimum, which impacts the development of your ideas. The explanation for why the dish should be included is somewhat confusing, as it focuses more on the general benefits of working at an event rather than the specific appeal of the food itself. To improve, ensure you fully develop your arguments and meet the minimum word count requirement to avoid a penalty.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical. For example, phrases like 'The main point to include this item' are a bit repetitive. The logical flow between sentences is occasionally hindered by grammatical errors, making some parts of your argument difficult to follow. Using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in addition') would help improve the flow and clarity of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic. You use some relevant food-related terms like 'ingredient', 'chicken', and 'butter', but there are errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'gravey of some species' (likely meaning 'gravy with spices') and 'enjoy there meals' (should be 'their'). To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to cooking and event planning, and pay closer attention to spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There is a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. You have frequent errors in basic grammar, such as subject-verb agreement, missing articles, and incorrect word forms (e.g., 'I'm writing letter', 'can the people towards our product', 'can be usefull in there career path'). These errors occasionally impede communication. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically the use of articles, prepositions, and possessive pronouns, before attempting more complex structures.
