You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

Dear Luis,

I am a part of an International student's club and I heard that the club is planning an event to celebrate famous food from across the globe. Hence, I am writing to offer a popular dish from my country for this event.

While I love cooking, it would be great if I get an opportunity to present my country there. I know most recipes of renowned dishes but I would love to present the most popular one.

As I live in diverse country, there are plenty of dishes that people love in different states but the most famous one is "Dal-baati". The name Dal-means lentil curry, whereas Baati-means small dough. It serves with jaggary and garlic chutney that makes is more delicious.

If I am talking about reasons to include it in an event, the primary one is, it is tasty and healthy at the same time. People think healthy food is always boring; however, this dish would change that mindset because the curry made from 5 kind of lentils which are the source of protein, Iron and many other nutritious substances.

I hope you give me a chance to present my country's famous dish in this event. Hoping to hear from you soon.
