Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all three bullet points: offering to make a dish, describing it, and explaining its inclusion. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. The description of the dish is brief, and the explanation for its inclusion relies on repetitive adjectives like 'delicious' and 'healthy' without providing specific cultural or culinary context. The letter ends abruptly mid-sentence, which impacts the overall completion of the task. To improve, you should expand on the cultural significance of the dish and ensure the letter reaches a natural conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate, such as the awkward transition 'as I am a member of this club'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences is occasionally disjointed. The abrupt ending significantly disrupts the coherence of the final paragraph. Using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that ideas transition smoothly between sentences would improve the logical progression of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You rely heavily on basic descriptors like 'good', 'famous', and 'delicious'. There are also errors in word choice and form, such as 'the participate' instead of 'a participant' and 'mentle' (spelling error). While the meaning is generally clear, the range is limited, and the repetition of simple adjectives prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Incorporating more specific culinary terminology and checking for spelling accuracy would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'the participate to your club event', 'organized a event', 'Every people like', and 'we all knows'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods. These errors, while not completely impeding communication, occur frequently enough to distract the reader. Focusing on subject-verb agreement, article usage, and basic sentence structure will help improve your accuracy.
