IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Luis,

Student answer (Band 6.0)

Dear Luis,

I'm writing this letter to inform you that, as an International Student's club member. I would also like to make a dish which is famous in my country.

I will be presenting the dish named as "Indian Butter Chicken" the dish know for its mixtures of spices and taste. The dish mainly consist of butter, tomato, onions, chicken and some masala that makes it even more better and i am sure everyone is going to enjoy it.

This dish is most popular and one of the most consumed dish in India because of the way it has been made, first we add the oil and some spices once it is done then we go ahead and add tomato paste and salt as per the taste and then lastly we go ahead adding grilled chicken.

As an international student like me many of them will be joining from different country so they will come to now the real taste of Indian food
