You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

Dear Luis,

I am writing this to express my extreme interest in the event organized by the group on world food. My name is Yash, and I am one of the members who joined 6 months ago. I am from India, which is famous for its diverse cuisine.

Let me explain in more detail. I wanted to take part in so many events which are going on right now, but I wasn't able to because of academic pressure. Now I am on my summer break and came across your event. I want to present "Thepla" to represent my country. This dish is from the western part of India. There are certain reasons why I chose this particular item. Firstly, the cultural relation goes back to 500 years old recipe. Secondly, the wide range of this food is used for all kinds of occasions. Finally, this dish can stay fresh without refrigeration as well as it refers to "eat on the go". In my region, people carry this when they travel really far from home.
