You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Luis,

I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing this to get your permission to make a popular dish from my home country at the event.

I would like to make a sweet dish on that day called Kheer. This a kind of pudding made with rice, carrots, and milk, which is very popular in India. People in my country cook this dish to celebrate the special moments of their lives and eat it together with close ones.

I really think this dish will make our event complete because it is a sweet dish and is served warm, and I am sure that everyone will like it. It would also allow students from different backgrounds to try something new and learn more about Indian cuisine. I would be happy to prepare enough for everyone to have a small portion.
